Abstract

Abstrak, Pengembangan industri kimia sangat penting dikarenakan
dapat mengurangi pengeluaran devisa negara untuk mengimpor bahanbahan yang dibutuhkan oleh penduduk Indonesia. Salah satu industri
yang perlu dan telah dikembangkan di Indonesia adalah industri garam
(NaCl). Di alam, garam tidak bisa didapatkan dalam keadaan benarbenar murni, walaupun beberapa analisa telah dilakukan menunjukkan
kemurnian garam (NaCl) mencapai 99,9%. Industri pharmaceutical salt
(garam farmasi) dengan kadar NaCl diatas 99,5% dan impuritis
mendekati 0.Namun kualitas garam yang dikelola secara tradisional
umumnya harus diolah kembali untuk dijadikan garam konsumsi, garam
industri maupun untuk garam farmasi.Saat ini proses paling optimal
yang digunakan dalam pembuatan garam farmasi adalah Proses
Rekristalisasi (Proses Pemurnian, Penguapan dan Pengkristalan, serta
Proses Pengeringan dan Pengendalian Produk). Telah dilakukan kajian
efisiensi dan optimasi proses agar proses menjadi lebih efisien,
ekonomis, aman dan ramah lingkungan. Dalam seluruh rangkaian proses
pembuatan Garam Farmasi, digunakan 2 buah Cyclone. Efisiensi dan
Optimasi Proses yang diterapkan adalah merecycle steam heater dari
cyclone dengan mengalirkan kembali menuju steam heater sebesar 70%
ke dalam air heater. Hasil efisiensi dan optimasi proses menunjukkan
bahwa dengan mengalirkan kembali steam heater ke dalam air heater,
Q yang dibutuhkan untuk memanaskan Electric Air Heater berkurang
dan beban daya listrik berkurang sehingga berimplikasi pada cost pabrik
yang berkurang. Setelah diterapkannya efisiensi dan optimasi proses ini

pabrik dapat menghemat listrik sebanyak 22,94 Kwh yang jika
dikonversikan ke dalam rupiah menjadi Rp. 4. 534. 533. 827, 63 pertahun.

Abstract, The development of the chemical industry is very important
because it can reduce the country's foreign exchange expenditures to
import materials needed by the Indonesian population. One industry that
needs and has been developed in Indonesia is the salt (NaCl) industry. In
nature, salt cannot be obtained in a completely pure state, although
several analyzes have been carried out showing the purity of salt (NaCl)
reaching 99.9%. Pharmaceutical salt industry (pharmaceutical salt) with
NaCl content above 99.5% and impurity close to 0. However, the quality
of traditionally managed salt generally must be reprocessed to be used
as consumption salt, industrial salt or for pharmaceutical salt. Currently
the most optimal process is used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical
salt is the Recrystallization Process (Purification, Evaporation and
Crystallization Process, as well as the Drying Process and Product
Control). Efficiency studies and process optimization have been carried
out to make the process more efficient, economical, safe and
environmentally friendly. In the whole process of making Pharmaceutical
Salt, 2 Cyclones are used. Efficiency and Optimization The process
applied is to recycle the steam heater from the cyclone by flowing back
into the steam heater by 70% into the air heater. The results of efficiency
and process optimization show that by flowing the steam heater back into
the air heater, the Q required to heat the Electric Air Heater is reduced
and the load of electric power is reduced, which has implications for
reduced factory costs. After the implementation of efficiency and
optimization of this process the factory can save electricity as much as
22.94 Kwh which if converted into rupiah becomes Rp. 4. 534. 533. 827,
63 year.
