Abstract

In the development of a sterilizer using the Ozone gas concentration method and UV-C radiation, a measuring instrument is needed to assist in the configuration of the sterilizer system. The measuring instruments that already exist in the previous company still use cables and do not yet have a remote monitoring feature, so they are still not safe in their use. Based on these problems, UVCOM (Ultraviolet-C and Ozone Meter) was developed. UVCOM is a measuring instrument for UV-C radiation and IoT (Internet of Things) based Ozone concentration. However, in its development, UVCOM contains a lot of noise that blocks the actual sensor signal. Based on these problems, as a solution, the Kalman filter method is implemented with the aim of reducing noise in the sensor signal. Based on the results of the tests carried out in the study, the comparison of the standard deviation of the raw signal from the sensor is 3.58 and the standard deviation of the signal after the implementation of the Kalman filter method is 0.42. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Kalman filter method is effective in reducing sensor signal noise.
