Abstract
Perjalanan dengan menggunakan kereta api menjadi semakin aman dan nyaman karena adanya pengembangan teknologi. Salah satu teknologi yang dapat dikembangkan adalah komponen yang tergabung di dalam sistem pengereman kereta api. Sebagai inovasi pengembangan sistem pengereman kereta api, penggunaan aktuator hidrolik dianggap dapat mengatasi masalah yang ditimbulkan karena kurangnya lubrikasi pada seal aktuator pneumatik. Aktuator hidrolik mempunyai kelebihan dibanding aktuator pneumatik dalam hal kemampuan mentransfer tenaga atau daya yang relatif lebih besar yang memungkinkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan perlambatan laju kereta.
Beberapa tahapan pada penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menunjang proses analisa secara keseluruhan respon pengereman modifikasi sistem pengereman hidrolik kereta api tiga gerbong. Tahap awal penelitian dimulai dengan melakukan identifikasi masalah dan studi literatur. Analisa dan perhitungan gaya yang mempengaruhi pengereman dapat dilakukan setelah data rancangan dan penelitian ditentukan. Simulasi menggunakan software MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape/Fluid.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan kemampuan pengereman kereta api dengan sistem pengereman hidrolik lebih baik daripada sistem pengereman pneumatik dalam jarak penghentian kereta. Hasil penelitian lain yang didapatkan dari simulasi menunjukan adanya fenomena delay pada distribusi tekanan hidrolik.

Traveling by train is becoming more and more safe and comfortable due to the development of new technologies. One of the technologies that can be developed is the components incorporated in the train braking system. As an innovation in the development of the train braking system, the use of hydraulic actuators is considered to be able to overcome the problems caused by the lack of lubrication in the pneumatic actuator seals. Hydraulic actuators also have advantages over pneumatic actuators in terms of the ability to transfer power or relatively greater power which allows to increase the deceleration capability of the train.
In this study, several stages were carried out to support the overall analysis process of the braking response of the three-car train hydraulic braking system modification. The initial stage starts from identifying problems and studying literature. Analysis and calculation of forces that affect braking can be done after determining the design and research data. The simulation was carried out using MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape/Fluid R2021a software.
The results showed that the braking ability of a train with a hydraulic braking system was better than pneumatic braking system within the stopping distance of the train. Other research results obtained from simulations show that there is a delay phenomenon in the distribution of hydraulic pressure.
