Abstract

Desa Mendak merupakan salah satu Desa di Kecamatan Dagangan, Kabupaten Madiun yang berada di kawasan selingkar wilis. Arah pengembangan Desa Mendak selain bergerak wisata alam juga akan mengarah wisata edukasi pengembangan olahan coklat atau kakao menjadi kampung coklat.Terlebih Desa ini memiliki produksi tanaman kakao yang mendominasi tiap tahun diantara tanaman perkebunan lainnyaNamun, potensi kakao yang dijadikan tumpuan masyarakat di Desa Mendak belum dikelola untuk memberikan nilai tambah serta petani kakao saat ini beralih ke tanaman porang dikarenakan tidak ada kepastian pasar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian perumusan strategi prioritas pengembangan agrowisata berbasis komoditas kakao di Desa Mendak sebagai pasar kakao masyarakat.
Terdapat tiga tahapan untuk mencapai tujuan dalam penelitian ini. Pertama yaitu mengidentifikasi potensi dan kendala agrowisata kakao di Desa Mendak menggunakan teknik Content Analysis. Content Analysis memerlukan data teks perekaman terkait variabel penelitian yang diperoleh melalui wawancara stakeholder kunci seperti kelompok tani Desa Mendak, Pokdarwis Desa Mendak, Dinas Pariwisata dll. Kedua, menentukan faktor prioritas agrowisata kakao di Desa Mendak menggunakan teknik AHP. Teknik AHP memerlukan data pembobotan antar variabel yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kusioner tabel perbandingan antar variabel kepada stakeholder kunci. Tahap terakhir yaitu menyusun strategi berdasarkan faktor prioritas dengan menggunakan metode Triangulasi.. Metode Triangulasi dilakukan dengan mengkomparasikan data hasil faktor prioritas terpilih, potensi kendala dengan jurnal Best practice agrowisata kakao /teori / kebijakan-kebijakan yang ada di wilayah studi
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terpilih 3 faktor prioritas dalam pengembangan agrowisata kakao di Desa Mendak yaitu fasilitas, atraksi dan kegiatan pertanian. Berdasarkan faktor terpilih, dirumuskan strategi dengan memperhatikan potensi dan kendala. Strategi tersebut antara lain menambahkan fasilitas edukasi seperti fasilitas edukasi kebun benih untuk edukasi penyelenggaraan bahan tanaman kakao, fasilitas showroom untuk edukasi pengolahan coklat TABICHO, dan mengadakan festival “PANEN RAYA COKLAT” pada waktu panen raya kakao sekitar bulan 3-5 dan 10-12 serta megadakan program penyuluhan/pembinaan oleh PPL Kecamatan Dagangan dan Ketua Paguyuban PODANG KAWI (Dolopo Dagangan Kakao Wilis). kepada kelompok tani kakao sidomulyo 1 dan sidomulyo 2 terkait pengendalian hama TBK dan penyakit busuk buah.

Mendak Village is one of the villages in Dagangan District, Madiun Regency which is located in the Wilis circle area. The development direction of Mendak Village, not only moved to nature tourism but also led to educational tours for development of processing chocolate or cocoa into a chocolate village. Moreover, this village has cocoa crop production which dominates every year among other plantation crops. However, cocoa potential which was used as people’s support in Mendak Village has not been managed to provide value-added and cocoa farmers were currently switching to porang plants because there was no market certainty. Hence, it was required for the research of strategy formulation agro-tourism development priorities based on cocoa commodity in Mendak Village as a community cocoa market.
There are three steps to achieve the purpose in this research. The first is to identify potentials and constraints of cocoa agro-tourism in Mendak Village using Content Analysis technique. Second, determine priority factors of cocoa agro-tourism in Mendak Village using the AHP technique. The last step is to develop the strategy based on priority factors using the Triangulation method.
The results of this study indicated that selected 3 priority factors in cocoa agro-tourism development in Mendak Village were facilities, attractions, and agricultural activities. Based on the selected factors, it was formulated strategies with observed potentials and constraints. These strategies were add educational facilities such as seed garden education facilities for cocoa plant material maintenance education, showroom facilities for TABICHO chocolate processing education, hold “PANEN RAYA COKLAT” festival on cocoa harvest time around 3-5 and 10-12 months, and hold extension/coaching program by the PPL of Dagangan District and the Chairman of the PODANG KAWI Association (Dolopo Dagangan Kakao Wilis) toward the cocoa farmer groups of Sidomulyo 1 and Sidomulyo 2 regard the control of TBK pests and fruit rot diseases.
