Abstract
PT X. is one of the government owned enterprise that is focused on logistics service, this company recently developed mobile application to support the purchasing activities for traditional retail. Inside the system of this mobile application, there are several unique conditions. For several area that is being served, more than one warehouse may served as the storing facilities of the product sold inside the application in which there are no same product being kept at one or more warehouses and the delivery activities inside also being done by 3 types of vehicle fleet. The condition of product that is not stored on more than one warehouse have made it possible for an outlet to be served by more than one vehicle that comes from different warehouse based on the item that is purchased.
This research is trying to come with a model to help the vehicle scheduling process with the objective to achieve the minimum cost by considering the constraint from the research objective and traffic in the calculation of travel time. The vehicle scheduling will use Multi-Depot Vehicle Routing Problem with Heterogenous Fleet as a tool for the vehicle scheduling. There will be two models developed, Nearest Neighbour model to approach the current delivery method and Genetic Algorithm model for the improved scenrio. In the improved scenario there will be evaluation on the capacity to decide if delivery delay can be done in order to reduce the delivery cost.
From this research, it is concluded that the improved scenario where the delivery consolidation is applied have given lower total cost and lower number of vehicle used compared to the current scenario. This result also proven to satisfy the constraints inside the model.
