Abstract
Menurut surat keputusan Menteri Perhubungan No.PM.10/PW.301/Phb-77 hotel adalah
suatu bentuk akomodasi yang dikelola secara komersial dan disediakan untuk semua orang
yang membutuhkan pelayanan penginapan, makan, dan minum. Selain itu, industri pariwisata
hotel juga memegang peran dalam pembangunan, menciptakan lapangan kerja, serta
meningkatkan pendapatan daerah dan devisa negara. Menurut data pasar properti dari Colliers
International Indonesia terjadi penurunan tingkat okupansi hotel di Surabaya menjadi hanya
12,3 persen pada April 2020.
Faktor yang menyebabkan penurunan okupansi tersebut secara umum salah satunya adalah
pandemi COVID-19. Namun secara spesifik peran dari hotel – hotel tersebut juga perlu
ditingkatkan seperti perencanaan tata ruang yang aman, serta daya tarik yang ditawarkan dari
hotel itu sendiri harus saling berkesinambungan.
Singgasana Hotel Surabaya merupakan hotel berkonsep resort bintang 4 di tengah kota
Surabaya dengan nuansa tradisional Jawa dari segi arsitektur maupun desain interiornya.
Dengan konsep penerapan visualisasi sejarah dan budaya Jawa diharapkan dapat meningkatkan
daya tarik wisatawan dan adanya konsep green building sebagai pendukung dapat memberikan
rasa nyaman dan aman kepada wisatawan.

According to the Minister of Transportation decree, No.PM.10/PW.301/Phb-77 Hotel is a
form of accommodation that commercially managed and provided for people to lodging,
eating, and drinking services. In addition, the hotel tourism industry also plays a role in
development, job demands, and increasing regional income and foreign exchange. According
to a property market reports from Colliers International Indonesia, the occupancy rate of hotels
in Surabaya decreased to 12.3 percent in April 2020.
One of the factors that caused the decrease in general, was the COVID-19 pandemic. But,
the specifically role of these hotels also need to be improved, such as layout planning that
makes the user safe, and the attractiveness offered by these hotel needs to be mutually
sustainable.
Singgasana Hotel Surabaya is a 4 stars resort hotel in the middle of Surabaya City with
Javanese architecture and interior design. By applying the visualization of Javanese history and
culture concept, tourist attraction will be hopefully increased and the support of green building
can provide a sense of comfort and secure to the visitor.
