Abstract
Terminal Berlian Surabaya merupakan Terminal Petikemas Domestik/Lokal paling produktif. Proses bongkar muat di Terminal Berlian menggunakan beberapa alat seperti 16 unit Harbour Mobile Crane (HMC), 19 unit Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG), 6 unit Reach Stacker (RS), 16 unit Forklift, 41 unit Head Truck. Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) merupakan alat bantu yang digunakan dalam proses pengangkatan dan peletakkan container atau pemindahan container. Pada terminal peti kemas Berlian Surabaya nilai downtime RTG yang cukup besar dibandingkan alat yang lain sehingga mengganggu kelancaran proses bongkar muat peti kemas. Dalam kurun waktu 10 bulan, data maintenance menunjukkan bahwa sub sistem Engine pada RTG merupakan sub sistem yang memiliki nilai downtime paling besar. Penelitian tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor – faktor penyebab terjadinya kerusakan pada sub sistem engine dan sistem pemeliharaan engine dievaluasi dengan menggunakan metode Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) untuk menurunkan nilai downtime dan meningkatkan kehandalan alat.
Metode yang digunakan untuk tugas akhir ini adalah dengan Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). Tahap pertama adalah melakukan analisa data dari historis maintenance pada engine. Kemudian tahap kedua dari historis mencari penyebab kerusakan dengan Failure Tree Analysis (FTA). Kemudian menyusun metode maintenance yang baru dimulai dari Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) yang merupakan identifikasi kegagalan dari suatu komponen yang dapat menyebabkan kegagalan fungsi dari sub sistem yang mungkin terjadi. Selanjutnya tahap terakhir yaitu Maintenance Task menggunakan RCM Decision Worksheet untuk menganalisa dan menentukan perawatan yang tepat. Pada RCM Decision Worksheet berisi beberapa kolom yang masing – masing telah dikelompokkan berdasarkan analisanya.
Hasil menunjukan bahwa dari tugas akhir ini penyebab utama keggalan RTG B adalah Sub sistem Engine. Terdapat 3 kategori maintenance task yang telah dirumuskan untuk 7 failure mode yaitu Schedule on condition task untuk komponen Accu, Coolant, Water separator, Engine oil, Schedule Restoration untuk Radiator, Schedule Discard untuk Fuel Filter, Oil filter.

Berlian Port, is the most productive container port in Surabaya. The process of unloading in Berlian Port Terminal is using different kind of tools like 16 units of Harbour Mobile Crane (HMC), 19 units of Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG), 6 units of Reach Stucker (RS), 16 units of Forklift, and 41 units of Head Truck. Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) is a tool used for helping the process of loading - unloading and moving the containers. The number of RTG Downtime at Berlian Port is way bigger than the other tools and it disrupting the unloading process. The maintenance data in the last 10 months shows that the Engine sub system on RTG has the highest downtime numbers.The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that causing the damage of the engine sub system and to evaluate the maintenance system by using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) to reduce the downtime numbers and improve the reliability.
Reliability Centered Maintenance is the methodology used in this study. First stage is conducting data analyze from the engine histories. The second stages are looking for the root cause from the histories using Failure Tree Analysis (FTA) then develop a new maintenance method starting from the Failure Mode and Analysis (FMEA) which is the identification of the failures from the components that can cause malfunction of the sub system that might happens. The last stages is Maintenance Task using RCM Decisions Worksheet to analyze and determine the appropriate maintenance. RCM Decision Worksheet contains several columns which have been categorised based on each analysis.
The result from this study shows the main causes of the RTG B failure is the Engine Sub system. There are 3 maintenance task categories defined for 7 failure mode consist of Schedule on Condition Task for Accu, Engine Oil, Water separator, Coolant. Schedule restoration for Radiator, Schedule Discard for Fuel filter and Oil filter.
