Abstract
Metode transportasi dapat diterapkan oleh suatu perusahaan untuk mengoptimalkan biaya distribusi produknya. Salah satunya adalah Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Kabupaten Jombang yang mendistribusikan air bersih dari beberapa sumur atau sumber air ke beberapa tempat tujuan distribusi air bersih. Untuk mencari solusi awal digunakan Metode Vogel’s Approximation (VAM) dan Metode Karagul-Sahin Approximation (KSAM) yang menghasilkan solusi awal terbaik dibanding enam metode lainnya. Kemudian, untuk mendapatkan solusi optimalitasnya digunakan Metode Stepping Stone dan Metode Modified Distribution. Total biaya distribusi air yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar Rp. 8.673.134 per harinya dan biaya yang dapat dihemat yaitu sebesar 26,26%.

Transportation methods can be implemented by a company to optimize its product distribution costs. One of them is the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) of Jombang Regency which distributes clean water from several wells or water sources to several destinations for clean water distribution. To search for an initial solution used Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM) and Karagul-Sahin Approximation Method (KSAM) that produces the best initial solution compared to six other methods. Then, to get the optimal solution, the Stepping Stone Method and the Modified Distribution Method are used. The total cost of water distribution obtained is Rp. 8.673.134 per day and the cost that can be saved is 26.26%.
