Abstract

People with disabilities in Indonesia are those who are rarely considered in social and community life. They are often viewed as unequal and do not have equal rights because of their limitations. From the perspective of Indonesians in the context of art, those with disabilities are given the opportunity and space to carry out art activities based only on compassion, not to give appreciation for the work of persons with disabilities. A person's appreciation of a work of art no longer looks at the work they make, but at the limitations that exist in a person, or in other words, a disability above the work. Facilities/containers for disabilities are needed so that they can carry out artistic activities in accordance with the standards of persons with disabilities. Purposed design is an art center, where non-disabled people are invited to interact with people with disabilities through works and architectural elements. Art is appointed as a medium for persons with disabilities to express themselves and their emotions, of course in different ways. Special attention is needed so that persons with disabilities can continue to live in prosperity and can be viewed as equal to non-disabled people. The role of the general public is also very important in supporting this idea, so that any design plans that have been prepared can run well.
