Abstract

Didapatkan biaya minimum logistik sebesar Rp 498.067/ ton.=================================================================================================
Plywood in its production does not always run smoothly because the supply of logs is not always available. On the other hand, there are non-forest wood materials from oil palm plantations in abundance, and so far have not been used for the purposes of the timber industry in Indonesia. In this regard, there are many potential studies on the utilization of oil palm trunks into plywood. The potential for production of palm logs as plywood raw material is much greater than the production of forest logs. The problem faced today is that there is a gap in distance between source locations and production locations where 90% of oil palm plantations in Indonesia are located on the islands of Sumatra and Kalimantan (BPS, 2019). Meanwhile, 65% of the plywood industry is located on the island of Java (KLHK, 2019). Therefore, it is necessary to plan a logistics model for oil palm trunks for the plywood industry in Java Island with the minimum logistics costs. Optimization method by minimizing unit cost per ton is used in determining the number of ship frequencies for each selected route. The results of the analysis show that the supply of oil palm trunks from Riau Province is 27,101 tons and Central Kalimantan Province is 19,001 tons. Meanwhile, the demand for oil palm trunks for the plywood industry in Java for West Java Province is 20,835 tons, Central Java Province is 340,333 tons, and East Java Province is 425,281 tons/year. The selected routes include Dumai-Tanjung Mas, Kumai-Gresik, Kumai-Tanjung Mas, and Kumai-Gresik. The minimum logistics cost is Rp 498,067/ton.
