Abstract
Pembangunan infrastruktur di Indonesia semakin pesat, di lihat dengan banyaknya proyek yang sedang berjalan pada tiap tahunnya. Salah satu material utama yang dibutuhkan pada pembangunan infrastruktur adalah baja. Proses produksi 1 ton baja dapat menghasilkan + 200 Kg limbah terak baja. Untuk itu penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengurangi limbah yang telah dihasilkan dari proses produksi baja tersebut. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan lapis aspal beton pondasi (AC-Base) dengan acuan peraturan spesifikasi Bina Marga 2018 (Revisi 2). Persentase penambahan material limbah terak baja (steel slag) sebanyak 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% dan 100% dari total berat agregat halus. Tahapan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini terdapat uji material, uji spesifikasi AC-Base, analisa Kadar Aspal Optimum (KAO), pengujian penambahan limbah terak baja (steel slag), analisa hasil uji marshall, dan analisa hasil pengujian ITS. Hasil dari percobaan 5 kadar aspal rencana, didapatkan pada kadar aspal 6,10% merupakan kadar aspal optimum. Sehingga untuk pembuatan aspal modifikasi menggunakan kadar aspal 6,10%. Hasil dari pengujian marshall untuk aspal modifikasi didapatkan variasi 50% memiliki nilai stabilitas tertinggi yaitu 927,74 Kg. Pengujian ITS berguna untuk membandingkan kuat tarik antara aspal konvensional dengan kadar aspal 6,10% dengan aspal modifikasi pada variasi 50% didapatkan hasil kuat tarik yang lebih besar pada aspal modifikasi. Rasio kuat tarik pada aspal modifikasi mendapatkan nilai 98%. Harga aspal dengan penambahan steel slag lebih ekonomis dengan selisih Rp 2.089,00

Infrastructure development in Indonesia is increasing rapidly, seen by the number of projects that are running every year. One of the main materials needed in infrastructure development is steel. For this reason, this research was conducted with the aim to reduce the waste that has been generated from the steel production process. Research conducted using layers of foundation concrete asphalt (AC-Base) with reference to bina marga specification regulations 2018 (Revision 2). The percentage of addition of steel slag waste material is 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the total weight of fine aggregates. The stages carried out in this study include material tests, AC-Base specification tests, Optimum Asphalt Level (KAO) analysis, steel slag waste addition testing, marshall test results analysis, and its test results analysis. The results of the experiment of 5 levels of asphalt plan, obtained at asphalt levels of 6.10% is the optimum asphalt level. So for the manufacture of modified asphalt using asphalt levels of 6.10%. The results of marshall testing for modified asphalt obtained a variation of 50% has the highest stability value of 927.74 Kg. ITS testing is useful for comparing the strength of attraction between conventional asphalt with asphalt levels of 6.10% with asphalt modification at a variation of 50% obtained stronger yield of greater pull on modified asphalt. The strong tensile ratio on modified asphalt gets a value of 98%. The price of asphalt with the addition of steel slag is more economical with a difference of Rp 2,089.00
