Abstract

Limbah coolant mesin CNC merupakan salah satu jenis limbah cair B3 dari kegiatan industri yang harus diolah dengan standar kualitas tertentu agar mengurangi dampak pencemaran air. Regulasi pembuangan limbah untuk penyaluran ke badan air mengharuskan kondisi parameter fisik olahan limbah memenuhi nilai batas ambang sebagai syarat standar baku mutunya diantaranya paramater tingkat kekeruhan dan zat padat terlarut (Total Dissolved Solid). Sesuai dengan Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan No.907 tahun 2002 tingkat kekeruhan air limbah yang memenuhi syarat air bersih maksimal 5 NTU, adapun total zat padat terlarut (TDS) maksimal 1000 mg/l.
Pada penelitian ini dibuat suatu sistem pengolahan limbah coolant melalui pemanfaatan proses elektrokoagulasi untuk mengolah limbah dengan menerapkan metode fuzzy logic sebagai pengendalian prosesnya. Inputan sistem fuzzy adalah nilai batas ambang parameter kekeruhan dan TDS.
Hasil pengujian sistem pengolahan limbah coolant menggunakan metode fuzzy logic dengan nilai input 5 NTU dan 1000 mg/l sebagai acuan parameter diperoleh output pertama fuzzy berupa nilai PWM 244 dengan tegangan 22 V dan output kedua berupa waktu kontak proses selama 70 menit dapat mengkondisikan kekeruhan limbah dari 6376 NTU menjadi 1,13 NTU dan TDS limbah yang awalnya belum dapat terukur setelah melalui proses olahan tereduksi menjadi 143 mg/l.

CNC machine coolant waste is one type of B3 liquid waste from industrial activities that must be treated with certain quality standards in order to reduce the impact of water pollution. Waste disposal regulations for distribution to water bodies require that the physical parameters of the processed waste meet the threshold value as a requirement for quality standards including the level of turbidity and total dissolved solids. In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Health No. 907 of 2002, the turbidity level of wastewater that meets the requirements for clean water is a maximum of 5 NTU, while the total dissolved solids (TDS) is a maximum of 1000 mg/l.
In this study, a coolant waste treatment system was developed through the use of the electrocoagulation process to treat waste by applying the fuzzy logic method as process control. The input of the fuzzy system is the threshold value of the turbidity parameter and TDS.
The results of testing the coolant waste treatment system using the fuzzy logic method with an input value of 5 NTU and 1000 mg/l as a reference parameter, the first fuzzy output in the form of a PWM value of 244 with a voltage of 22 V and the second output in the form of a contact time of 70 minutes can condition the turbidity of the waste from 6376 NTU became 1.13 NTU and the TDS of waste which could not be measured initially after going through the processing process was reduced to 143 mg/l.
