Abstract
Transportasi laut merupakan jalur pendistribusian terpenting dalam perekonomian di Indonesia. Sebab, lingkungan geografis Indonesia terdiri dari pulau-pulau yang dipisahkan oleh lautan. Namun saat ini Indonesia terancam kelangkaan persediaan bahan bakar yang menjadi sumber energi transportasi laut. Produksi bahan bakar menurun pada 2013 hingga 2018. Sedangkan konsumsi bahan bakar mengalami peningkatan. Selain itu, hampir setengah dari seluruh biaya operasional kapal yaitu untuk biaya konsumsi bahan bakar. Meski demikian, terdapat solusi untuk meminimalkan konsumsi bahan bakar yaitu dengan pengaturan mesin dan kecepatan kapal selama berlayar. Sehingga, pada tugas akhir ini untuk mendapatkan biaya operasional kapal yang optimal yaitu dengan cara memutuskan kecepatan kapal yang tepat. Optimasi biaya operasional kapal diterapkan dengan menggunakan metode Pemgrograman Dinamis. Penerapan metode Pemrograman Dinamis menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan diperoleh biaya operasional kapal yang lebih optimal (terlihat dari jumlah konsumsi bahan bakar). Secara aktual KM.Labobar Voyage 03.2021 menghabiskan 647 KL bahan bakar. Sedangkan perolehan hasil optimasi KM.Labobar menghabiskan 610 KL bahan bakar.

Sea transportation is the most important distribution line in the Indonesian economy. This is because Indonesia's geographical environment consists of islands separated by oceans. However, at this time Indonesia is threatened by the scarcity of fuel supplies which are a source of energy for sea transportation. Fuel production decreased from 2013 to 2018. Meanwhile, fuel consumption increased. In addition, almost half of all ship operating costs are for fuel consumption costs. However, there is a solution to minimize fuel consumption, namely by setting the engine and ship speed during sailing. Thus, in this final project to obtain optimal ship operating costs, namely by deciding the appropriate ship speed. Optimization of ship operating costs is applied using the Dynamic Programming method. The application of the Dynamic Programming method shows that overall ship operating costs are higher optimal (as seen from the amount of fuel consumption). KM.Labobar Voyage 03.2021 spent 647 KL of fuel in actual condition. While the optimization results were obtained from KM. Labobar spent 610 KL of fuel.
