Abstract

Dalam beberapa tahun belakang, dunia mendapati adanya pertumbuhan secara signifikan dalam perdagangan melalui transportasi laut. Dengan adanya peningkatan arus lalu lintas maritim tersebut, khususnya pelayaran komersial pada saat pandemi ini, akan berdampak secara serius pada lingkungan diakibatkan oleh emisi gas buang yang dihasilkan. Selain itu, sebagian besar kapal komersial pada saat ini masih sangat bergantung pada bahan bakar fosil. Dengan harga minyak yang relatif tidak stabil, perusahaan pelayaran perlu mempertimbangkan pengeluaran mereka di bidang bunkering, karena 50-60% biaya operasional kapal terdiri atas biaya bunkering dan lubricating oil. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk menampilkan sebuah DSS (alat bantu pengambil keputusan) untuk membantu menentukan alur pelayaran yang ekonomis dengan batasan time window (yang umumnya berada pada kapal liner). Dalam studi kasus berdasarkan satu kapal container ini, sebuah model matematis disajikan untuk menganalisis konsumsi bahan bakar, waktu berlayar, dan emisi. Kemudian, hasil tersebut dibandingkan dengan hasil dari DSS tersebut.

Over the past few years, the world has seen a significant growth in seaborne trade. Consequently, the increase in maritime traffic, especially commercial shipping during the pandemics, poses serious environmental drawbacks caused by the emission produced. Moreover, most commercial ships are still heavily dependent to fossil fuels. With the volatile oil prices, shipping companies shall consider their expenditure on bunkering carefully, since the operating cost of a vessel is mainly influenced by bunker fuel and lubricating oil prices, which consist 50–60% of the total ship operating cost. This paper is mainly aimed to present a Decision Support System (DSS) to determine the economical shipping route within the constraints of port time window. In this study, a mathematical model is to be used to analyze fuel oil consumption and emission produced of a case study on a container ship. Then, the result is to be compared with the ones generated using DSS as a mode of validation.
