Abstract

Material sandwich adalah material inovatif baru yang dikembangkan dapat menjadi alternatif
pengganti baja, karena memiliki kekuatan dan kekakuan yang baik serta lebih ringan. Pada
penelitian ini dilakukan analisis getaran pada geladak penumpang LCU dengan menggunakan
material sandwich. LCU ini memiliki lima geladak penumpang yaitu geladak A, geladak B,
geladak C, geladak D, dan geladak E dimana sumber getaran dari kamar mesin menjadi sumber
eksiter terbesar. Analisis numerik berbasis elemen hingga dilakukan untuk mengetahui
frekuensi natural dan respon getaran yang terjadi pada setiap geladak penumpang LCU. Hasil
analisis menunjukkan bahwa geladak penumpang LCU yang menggunakan material sandwich
memiliki nilai velocity maksimum sebesar 2.096 mm/s pada deck A, 5.89 mm/s pada deck B,
2.67 mm/s pada deck C, 5.42 mm/s pada deck D dan 3.10 mm/s pada deck E, dimana nilai ini
masih masuk kriteria kenyamanan ABK ISO 6954 (2000).

Sandwich material is a new innovative material that has been developed as an alternative to
steel, because it has good strength and stiffness and is lighter. In this study, vibration analysis
was carried out on the LCU passenger deck using sandwich material. This LCU has five
passenger decks, namely deck A, deck B, deck C, deck D, and deck E where the vibration
source from the engine room is the largest excitation source. Numerical analysis based on finite
element was carried out to determine the natural frequency and vibration response that occurred
on each LCU passenger deck. The results of the analysis show that the LCU passenger deck
using sandwich material has a maximum velocity value of 2.096 mm/s on deck A, 5.89 mm/s
on deck B, 2.67 mm/s on deck C, 5.42 mm/s on deck D and 3.10 mm. /s on deck E, where this
value is still included in the ISO 6954 (2000) crew comfort criteria.
