Abstract
Pembangunan Jalan Planjan – Baron – Tepus berada pada Kabupaten Gunung Kidul, D.I Yogyakarta.

The construction of the Planjan – Baron – Tepus road is located in Gunung Kidul Regency, D.I Yogyakarta. The length of the handler for the construction of new roads is 9,725 km and the location used as the object of this research is at sta 8+800 to sta 9+675. from a topographical point of view, the condition of the road segment is in a hilly area, so that In addition, with the embankment height of up to 21 m, limited land (ROW) and slope, a slope analysis is required, where the type of subgrade is limestone.
In this study, Direct Shear and CPT tests were also carried out to determine the value of cohesion (c) and shear angle (φ) to be used in slope assessment using FEM and LEM. This research is expected to produce an accurate slope value according to the actual condition of the embankment in the field. After the inspection took place, the analysis results showed that FEM had a Safety Factor (SF) value that was smaller than LEM, where sta 9+500 to 9+675 had SF >1.5 sta 8+800 to 8+ 875 had SF value < 1.5, thus requiring slope reinforcement on the embankment, with a total of 2 pieces of reinforcement.
