Abstract

Tidak semua orang punya waktu untuk memberi makan peliharaan mereka dikarenakan kesibukannya. Penelitian ini akan membahas bagaimana keberadaan IOT (Internet of Things) yang salah satunya dapat menyediakan pengontrolan dan pemantauan alat pemberi makan peliharaan otomatis (Pet Feeder) secara jarak jauh (nirkabel) melalui jaringan internet. Hal ini dapat terlaksana dengan adanya internet dan web server. Selain itu, Pet Feeder tetap bisa dikontrol manual oleh user (dengan bantuan sebuah tombol virtual). Alat ini dibagi menjadi dua bagian, yaitu bagian software dan hardware. Dengan bagian software menggunakan IDE Arduino, Blynk App, dan IDE Thonny dan bagian hardware menggunakan mikrokontroller Wemos D1 R2 dan Raspberry yang terhubung pada sensor, motor servo dan lain-lain. Semua data yang didapatkan kemudian akan dikirimkan ke Server melalui Raspberry dan modul wifi ESP8266 dan ditampilkan pada aplikasi Blynk sebagai sistem monitoring. Aplikasi Blynk dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui stok makanan, stok minuman, dan melihat secara real time pemberian pakan pada peliharaan, atau hanya sekedar memantau lingkungan sekitar Pet Feeder. Dengan menggunakan sistem ini, pemilik peliharaan diharapkan dapat dengan tenang menjalankan kesibukannya tanpa perlu sering memikirkan gizi peliharannya.

A proper regular pet feeding is one of the most significant part of Pet Care. However, taking care of pet's diet can be very tedious and require commitment, on the other hand, not everyone has a leisure time to consistently feed their pet on time due to a tight personal schedule. This study will address how IoT (Internet of Things) is capable on providing Pet Feeder monitoring and controlling through internet network. Smart Pet feeder is an automatic and wireless pet feeding system. A wireless controlling using internet and web server allows users to manually control the system. This system has two components, software and hardware. Using Arduino IDE, Blynk App and Thonny IDE as the software and Wemos D1 R2 and Raspberry Pi as the hardware that connected to sensor, servo motor and other part. All data that has been obtained will be sent through raspberry and ESP8266 wifi module and will be portrayed on the blynk app as monitoring system. Blynk app can be used to perceive food and drink stock, observe real time feeding system or just to monitor pet feeder’s surrounding. With this system, pet owner will be more flexible on doing routine pet feeding.
