Abstract

Pengguna internet di Indonesia selalu meningkat setiap tahunnya, hingga Maret 2021 terdapat 212,6 juta jiwa pengguna internet di Indonesia. Salah satu jasa penyedia layanan internet di Indonesia adalah PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk yang menyediakan layanan internet jaringan FTTH (Fiber-To-The Home) dan seluler GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications). Keandalan (reliability) adalah salah satu dimensi kualitas produk dan layanan, maka pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis keandalan sistem jaringan internet FTTH dan seluler GSM berdasarkan variabel jarak, bandwidth, dan densitas pengguna. Hasil perhitungan keandalan, menggunakan metode evaluasi keandalan sistem penelitian Elsayed, teori FTTH, dan teori seluler GSM, serta analisis keandalan menunjukkan bahwa kedua jaringan internet andal. Selain itu, diketahui terdapat lima aspek utama yang mempengaruhi keandalan jaringan internet FTTH dan seluler GSM menggunakan cause and effect diagram yaitu man, machine, material, method, dan environment. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dan analisis didapatkan lima rekomendasi pengembangan, diantaranya meminimalisir jumlah sambungan pada jaringan akses FTTH dan melakukan preventif maintenance pada komponen yang memiliki jumlah terjadinya gangguan paling dominan.

Indonesia’s internet users increased every year, and by March 2021 there were 212.6 million internet users in Indonesia. One of the internet service providers in Indonesia is PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk which provides internet services for FTTH (Fiber-To-The Home) and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) cellular networks. Reliability is one of the dimensions of product and service quality, so this research analyzes the reliability of the FTTH’s internet network system and GSM cellular’s internet network system based on the variables of distance, bandwidth, and user density. The results of reliability calculations, using the Elsayed research system reliability evaluation method, FTTH theory, and GSM cellular theory, as well as reliability analysis show that both internet networks are reliable. In addition, it is known that there are five main aspects that affect the reliability of the FTTH’s internet network system and GSM cellular’s internet network system using cause and effect diagrams, which are man, machine, material, method, and environment. On the other hand, based on the results of calculations and analysis, five development recommendations were obtained, including minimizing the number of connections on the FTTH’s access network and performing preventive maintenance on components that have the most dominant number of disturbances.
