Abstract
Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) memerlukan pompa ekstraksi kondensat atau Condensate Extraction Pump (CEP) yang berfungsi untuk mencatu air kondensat yang berasal dari hotwell kondensor menuju ke deaerator dan feed water tank. Komponen penting pada CEP yaitu bearing atau bantalan yang berfungsi untuk menumpu poros berbeban, sehingga putaran dapat berlangsung secara baik, dan tahan lama. Saat ini komponen bearing yang digunakan pada CEP di PLTU Paiton Unit 9 terdapat kerusakan, seperti terjadinya aus dan adanya crack akibat vibrasi sehingga tidak bisa dipakai kembali dan harus segera diganti dengan yang baru sehingga PLTU Paiton Unit 9 melakukan pemesanan komponen bearing kepada PT PLN (Persero) PUSHARLIS. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merencanakan dan memproduksi komponen bearing pada condensate extraction pump dengan metode reverse engineering sesuai spesifikasi yang telah ditentukan. Tahapan penelitian ini terdiri dari studi literatur, studi lapangan, pengumpulan data, perumusan masalah, pengujian dan simulasi material, analisa data, verifikasi data pengujian, proses manufaktur menggunakan mesin bubut dan sekrap, dan quality control. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dengan melakukan pengujian tarik, absorpsi air, komposisi material, kekerasan, dan simulasi pembebanan statis maka didapatkan jenis material eksisting berupa komposit bakelit dengan kekuatan tarik sebesar 18,05 MPa, ketahanan air sebesar 10 %, dan memiliki kekerasan sebesar 83 Shore D. untuk hasil simulasi sebagai data tambahan sebesar 12,07 MPa. Dalam pemilihan material pengganti untuk komponen bearing dihasilkan material dengan jenis komposit elastomer yang memiliki daya serap air sebesar 2,43 %, kekerasan sebesar 56,1 Shore D dan kekuatan tarik sebesar 37,5 MPa.

Steam Power Plants (PLTU) require a condensate extraction pump or Condensate Extraction Pump (CEP) which functions to supply condensate water from the condenser hotwell to the deaerator and feed water tank. An important component in the CEP is a bearing or bearing those functions to support a loaded shaft, so that rotation can take place properly, and lasts a long time. Currently, the bearing components used in CEP at PLTU Paiton Unit 9 are damaged, such as wear and cracks due to vibration so they cannot be reused and must be immediately replaced with new ones so that PLTU Paiton Unit 9 places an order for bearing components to PT PLN (Persero) PUSHARLIS. The purpose of this research is to plan and produce bearing components in the condensate extraction pump with the reverse engineering method according to predetermined specifications. The stages of this research consist of literature study, field study, data collection, problem formulation, material testing and simulation, data analysis, test data verification, manufacturing process using a lathe and scrap, and quality control. Based on the results of research that has been carried out by conducting tensile tests, water absorption, material composition, hardness, and simulation of static loading, it is found that the existing type of material is a bakelite composite with a tensile strength of 18.05 Mpa, water resistance of 10%, and has a hardness of 83 Shore D. for the simulation results as additional data of 12.07 Mpa. In selecting a replacement material for the bearing component, a composite elastomeric type of material was produced which has a water absorption capacity of 2.43%, hardness of 56.1 Shore D and tensile strength of 37.5 MPa.
