Abstract
Separator merupakan alat vital dalam proses produksi minyak dan gas. Perusahaan X menggunakan separator dua fasa dalam proses produksinya. Separator dua fasa berfungsi untuk memisahkan fasa cair dan gas. Level controldigunakan untuk mengontrol ketinggian cairan yang berada dalam separator, sedangkan pressure control digunkan untuk mengontrol tekanan pada separator. Menurut data perusahaan, dari tahun 2004 proses produksi tidak pernah mengalami shutdown. Oleh karena itu, tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa terdapat kerusahaan atau kegagalan pada alat-alat yang digunakan. Terdapat tindakan dari perusahaan untuk mencegah terjadinya kerusakan, yaitu dengan melakukan perawatan. Perawatan yang dilakukan antara lain: perawatan mingguan, perawatan setiap 3 bulan, perawatan setiap 6 bulan, dan perawatan tahunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan diagnosa kegagalan pada level control, mengetahui pengaruh kegagalan tersebut terhadap kinerja separator, dan menentukan pencegahan untuk mengurangi kegagalan pada levelcontrolseparator dua fasa dengan menggunakan metode fault tree analysis. Metode ini diaplikasikan dengan melakukan penyusunan pohon kegagalan atau logic treeberdasarkan Focus Grup Discussion(FGD) dan penentuan nilai probabilitas penyebab kegagalan berdasarkan data sekunder. Kegagalan yang terjadi pada level control separator dua fasa Perusahaan X berupa kegagalan komponen level transmitter, valve LCV, actuator LCV, penyumbatan pada outlet cairan, dan controller. Masing-masing probabilitas kejadian sebesar 0,0862 dan kombinasi kegagalan sebesar 0,4013 pada level control valve. Kegagalan tersebut menyebabkan menurunnya kinerja separator hingga separator harus berhenti beroperasi untuk melakukan perbaikan pada masing masing komponen yaitu:kalibrasi ulang transmitter, pergantian seat valve, plug valve, dan seals pada actuator saat rusak, pembersihan bagian valvedan pipa pada outlet cairan, dan pergantian sumber aliran listrik ke genset atau power supply unit saat aliran listrik terputus.

Separator is a vital tool in the oil and gas production process. Company X uses a two-phase separator in its production process. Two-phase separator serves to separate the liquid and gas phases. Level control is used to adjust the level of liquid in the separator, while pressure control is used to control the pressure in the separator. According to company data, since 2004 the production process has never experienced a shutdown. Therefore, it is possible that there is a company or failure of equipment. Thereare actions to prevent damage by carrying out maintenance. Treatments carried out include: weekly maintenance, every 3 months maintenance, every 6 months maintenance, and yearly maintenance. This study aims to diagnose failure at the control level, determine the effect of the failure on the performance of the separator, and determine prevention to reduce failure at the control level of the two-phase separator by using the fault tree analysis method. This method is applied by compiling a failure tree or logic tree based on Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and determining the probability value of the cause of failure based on secondary data. After compiling the failure tree. Failures that occurred at the level control of the two-phase separator of Company X were the failure of the level transmitter component, LCV valve, LCV actuator, blockage at the fluid outlet, and controller. Each occurrence probability is 0.0862 and the failure combination is 0.4013 at the control valve level. This failure reduces separator performance so that the separator must stop operating to dorepairs to each component, which is: recalibration of the transmitter, changing seat valves, plug valves, and seals on the actuator when damaged, cleaning the valve and pipe sections at the fluid outlet, and replacing electricity source to the generator or power supply unit when the power supply is cut off.
