Abstract

Warehousing is a key component of the distribution activities of goods throughout the supply chain. In intralogistics distribution there are many plants that end up in warehouses. However, currently there are still many manual distribution or production processes that require employees as an operator of the system. Therefore, an intralogistics distribution system is needed that is related to sorter machines, palletizer machines, and stacker cranes unpreventably automatic. As a controller PLC is used to automate the virtual plant. Ladder Diagram is used as a PLC program language in this study. Nowadays, designing ladder diagrams still uses individual logic that has not been used as a reference for special methods which make causing less structured and more challenging in problem solving. Therefore, to design the ladder diagram and characterize the model of discrete event simulation, petri net method is used as a program reference. The results of the ladder diagram are simulated with a virtual plant through Factory I/O as the closest representation of the distribution process in the manufacturing industry. Intralogistics distribution virtual plant design requires 53 sensors with 68 actuators. The average time needed to distribute 25 palletized products to the warehouse is 17 minutes 38 seconds.
