Abstract

Monkeypox is a contagious disease caused by viruses. In Africa, look for monkeys causes death in 1 in 10 people infected. Food and Drug Administration in America recommend vaccines as an effort to prevent the virus monkey pox. If you have been infected with the virus, WHO Advise to quarantine so as not to infect others. This research is growing SIR (Susceptible-Infected-Recovered) mathematical model on the spread of monkeypox virus with added vaccination control and quarantine. Model The SIR used was obtained from an existing model by following the conditions of the spread of monkey pox in Nigeria presented as a trade non-linear differential. Optimal control was solved using the Pontryagin Minimum Principle and simulated by the method fourth-order Runge-Kutta sweeps for determine the level of wound infection in monkeys after and before being given control. Based on simulation results it was concluded that giving control can suppressing infected monkey population by 70% and infected human populations by 59%.
