Abstract

Tugas akhir ini menyajikan studi keandalan konfigurasi sistem Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Redundant pada mesin semen Tonasa unit IV. Tiga konfigurasi desain sistem UPS utama yaitu Capacity, Isolated Redundant, dan Parallel Redundant dipertimbangkan dan perbandingan pada parameter keandalan sistem yang dihasilkan dibahas secara rinci. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini dapat memainkan peran penting dalam pemilihan dan penerapan sistem UPS mana yang cocok untuk Tonasa unit IV. Parameter keandalan UPS seperti tingkat kegagalan, Mean Time Between Failures, dan Ketersediaan dapat diestimasi dari metode estimasi keandalan sistem yang diusulkan. Metode estimasi reliabilitas yang disarankan dalam makalah ini adalah Reliability Block Diagram (RBD). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setiap konfigurasi memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan masing – masing dengan nilai failure yang tidak jauh berbeda sehingga hanya tergantung pada pengguna Tonasa unit IV lebih mudah menggunakan UPS yang mana.

This final project presents a reliability study of redundant Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system configurations on Tonasa IV cement machines. Three major UPS system design configurations namely Capacity, Isolated Redundant, and Parallel Redundant are considered and comparisons on the resulting system reliability parameters are discussed in detail. The results obtained from this study can play an important role in the selection and implementation of which UPS system is suitable for Tonasa IV. UPS reliability parameters such as failure rate, Mean Time Between Failures, and Availability can be estimated from the proposed system reliability estimation method. The reliability estimation method suggested in this paper is the Reliability Block Diagram (RBD). This study shows that each configuration has advantages and disadvantages of each with a failure rate that is not much different so it only depends on the Tonasa IV user which UPS is easier to use.
