Abstract

PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) yang biasa dikenal dengan BKI, merupakan satu-satunya badan klasifikasi nasional yang ditugaskan oleh Pemerintah Republik Indonesia. Berdasarkan analisis gap yang telah dilakukan oleh BKI dan tuntutan dari pemegang saham yang menghendaki BKI melakukan pengembangan bisnis guna mencapai target revenue, profit, dan growth yang telah ditentukan. Dibukanya pasar global di Indonesia yang berdampak pada kompetisi di industri jasa Testing, Inspection, & Certification (TIC) menjadi semakin ketat. Banyaknya perusahaan lokal dan perusahaan asing membuat BKI harus menyesuaikan diri. Permasalahan yang timbul dan harus dihadapi oleh BKI adalah penentuan strategi guna mengatasi antara kondisi saat ini dengan target yang telah ditentukan. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk memformulasikan strategi pengembangan inovasi bisnis yang terbaik untuk BKI. Guna mengetahui situasi terkini digunakan analisis faktor internal dengan metode resource-based view dan analisis faktor eksternal dengan metode pendekatan political, economic, social, technological, environmental, & legal (PESTEL), sehingga dapat diidentifikasi strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, & threats (SWOT) bagi BKI. Dilanjutkan menggunakan analytical hierarchy process (AHP) dan ansoff matrix untuk memformulasikan strategi pengembangan inovasi bisnis bagi BKI. Penelitian ini menghasilkan prioritas strategi advanced non drestructive test (NDT) technology sebagai strategi diversifikasi bisnis dengan melakukan added value pada jasa yang eksisting dengan nilai rasio konsitensinya sebesar 0,1.

PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero), commonly known as BKI, is the one and only national classification body assigned by the government of the Republic of Indonesia. Based on the gap analysis carried out by BKI and demands from shareholders who want BKI to carry out business development in order to achieve the predetermined revenue, profit and growth targets. The opening of the global market in Indonesia which has an impact on the competition in the Testing, Inspection, & Certification industry, it is getting tougher. The large number of local companies and foreign companies makes BKI have to adjust. The problem that arises and must be faced by BKI is the problem of determining a strategy in order to overcome the current condition and the targets set by shareholders. This study aims to formulate the best business innovation development strategy for BKI. In order to know the current situation, the researcher conducted an analysis of internal factors using the resource-based view method and analysis of external factors using the PESTEL method, so that strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) could be identified for BKI. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Ansoff Matrix to formulate a business innovation development strategy for BKI. This research resulted in the priority strategy of advanced non drestructive test (NDT) technology as a business diversification strategy by adding value to existing services with a consistency ratio of 0.1.
