Abstract

Pengalaman kerja adalah modal penting yang dibutuhkan mahasiswa saat memasuki dunia kerja pasca perkuliahan. Materi yang diberikan selama kuliah umumnya hanaya berupa teori yang disampaikan dosen dikelas dan praktik di laboratorium. Dilatarbelakangi oleh hal tersebut, maka Departemen Teknik Sipil ITS menyediakan kesempatan bagi mahasiswanya untuk memperoleh pengalaman kerja secara langsung di lapangan melalui Program Magang Kerjasama DTS-BUMN dengan PT.Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. Dalam kesempatan magang ini, penulis mendapat penempatan di Proyek Manyar Smelter Desalination Plant. Proyek Manyar Smelter Desalination Plant merupakan proyek smelter untuk mengolah konsentrat tembaga agar menjadi bahan baku setengah jadi dengan tujuan meningkatkan nilai tambah produk tambang. Rencananya proyek ini akan digunakan untuk mengolah 1,7 juta ton konsentrat tembaga per tahun. Pembangunan proyek ini menempati area seluas ± 5 ha dengan nilai kontrak totalnya sebesar Rp. 494.542.267.231 untuk pekerjaan piling+civil work dan Rp. 107.858.187,485 untuk kontrak supply steel structure. Proyek ini dikerjakan oleh PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. selaku kontraktor dengan estimasi durasi pengerjaan selama 144 hari terhitung dari 15 Juni 2022 sampai 15 November 2023.

Work experience is an important capital that students need when entering the world of work after lectures. The material provided during lectures is generally only in the form of theory delivered by lecturers in class and practice in the laboratory. Against this background, the ITS Civil Engineering Department provides opportunities for its students to gain direct work experience in the field through the DTS-BUMN Collaborative Internship Program with PT.Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. In this internship opportunity, the author got a placement in the Manyar Smelter Desalination Plant Project. The Manyar Smelter Desalination Plant project is a smelter project to process copper concentrate into semi-finished raw materials with the aim of increasing the added value of mining products. It is planned that this project will be used to process 1.7 million tons of copper concentrate per year. The construction of this project occupies an area of ± 5 ha with a total contract value of Rp. 494,542,267,231 for piling + civil work and Rp. 107,858,187.485 for the steel structure supply contract. This project is carried out by PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. as a contractor with an estimated duration of work of 144 days from 15 June 2022 to 15 November 2023.
