Abstract
Affordance concept which refers to the action possibilities the environment offers the living creatures, was used to understand the behaviour of human. It is important to study how thermal environment affects human perception of action possibilities within urban parks in tropical climate. The focus of research is to investigate the relationship of thermal condition, park attendance and park usage. Field observation was conducted on sub-areas with different physical, environmental and functional characteristic. Data recorded shows significant relationship between sunlight intensity, shaded area, and activity occurred. Result of the study revealed that park attendance or park usage, indeed affected not only by physical feature, but also thermal condition of the area. Thus thermal environment acts as and could be included as environmental affordance, that triggers human behaviour
