Abstract

Soekarno Hatta Road Corridor, Malang City, is a provincial road network designated as a trade and service area for the development of the Malang Trade Center. The condition of pedestrian paths in the Soekarno Hatta Street corridor are not yet fully connected and well facilitated. Therefore, the arrangement of pedestrian-friendly corridors in this study use the walkability concept because of its general scope and can facilitate problems in the planning area to get directions for pedestrian-friendly corridor arrangements on Soekarno Hatta Road, Malang City. Directions for structuring pedestrian-friendly corridors are obtained in three stages of analysis. The first step is to identify the components or elements of walkability with Delphi analysis which results in consensus on the variables used in the study, which can then be used for the second stage, namely the importance performance analysis (IPA). IPA begins with validity and reliability tests where has valid and reliable results for use in IPA with quadrants I and III results that will be used in the third analysis stage, namely triangulation. The triangulation stage is an analysis that will produce directions for structuring pedestrian-friendly corridors by synthesizing the results of identification of research, theory or policy, and best practices or previous studies to then obtain thirteen directions for structuring pedestrian-friendly corridors in the Soekarno Hatta Street corridor, Malang City based on four indicators and thirteen variables were analyzed. These include directives on safety and security, comfort, attractiveness, and policy support.
