Abstract
Kapal perintis 200 DWT merupakan kapal penumpang barang yang digunakan untuk melayani transportasi di daerah terpencil. Dalam pengoperasiannya kapal ini melayani rute di kawasan Indonesia Timur. Setelah selesai dibangun dan diuji kemiringan (inclining test) kapal perintis 200 DWT memiliki stabilitas labil, kondisi ini mengharuskan upaya penambahan ballast tetap agar kapal dapat beroperasi dalam keadaan stabilitas stabil. Upaya penambahan ballast tetap berdampak berkurangnya daya muat kapal dalam memuat muatan bersih (payload). Upaya ini tidak dapat diteruskan, perlu upaya jangka panjang agar kapal yang akan dibangun di masa mendatang dapat beroperasi dengan baik dan tanpa harus mengalami kekurangan daya muat. Pada Tugas Akhir ini telah dilakukan modifikasi ukuran utama kapal eksisting. Dalam hal ini telah dibuat beberapa model modifikasi dari ukuran utama kapal eksisting dengan cara menambah tinggi dan atau menambah lebar kapal lalu diperiksa performa stabilitas, hambatan, periode oleng dan dipilih model modifikasi yang terbaik. Dari hasil analisis model modifikasi terbaik adalah model IV dengan LOA = 44.30 m, B = 10.50 m, H = 3.60 m dan T = 2.30 m.

Coaster ship 200 TDW is a ship that transports cargo and passengers which serves transportation in remote areas. In operation this ship serves in east Indonesia. Upon completion and in the inclining test the coaster ship 200 TDW has unstabil stability condition, this condition requires additional ballast to enable the ship operate in steady stability condition. Effort to additional ballast reduced payload and this effort cannot be sustained, long-term effort is needed to keep the ship which built in the future operate properly and without having payload shortages. Therefore, in this final project will be modification of existing ship main dimension. In this case the model will be made in some modifications base on existing ship main dimensions by adding height and or adding width of the ship then examined the performance of stability refer to IS Code, ship resistance, rolling period and selected the best model of modification. Main dimension of selected modification model is LOA = 44.30 m, B = 10.50 m, H = 3.0 m and T = 2.30 m.
