Abstract

Kontinuitas dan keandalan operasi dalam suatu sistem tenaga listrik adalah hal yang harus dijamin kestabilannya. Sebuah sistem mampu dikatakan stabil ketika memenuhi syarat keseimbangan antara daya mekanik dari prime mover atau penggerak utama generator dengan daya output listrik. Apabila penggerak utama tidak dapat menyesuaikan putarannya dengan besar beban listrik maka akan menyebabkan kondisi sistem menjadi tidak stabil. Gangguan stabilitas transien memiliki kaitan dengan kendala besar yang terjadi secara tiba – tiba dan dalam kurun waktu yang pendek (short-term) seperti gangguan hubung singkat (short circuit), putusnya saluran secara tiba – tiba oleh perlatan CB (Circuit Breaker), serta pemindahan beban secara tiba – tiba. Kaltim Daya Mandiri (KDM) merupakan salah satu perusahaan utilitas dan energi yang didirikan dengan tujuan untuk menyediakan kebutuhan utilitas pada fasilitas produksi dan perumahan serta perusahaan – perusahaan lain yang berada di lingkungan Kaltim Industrial Estate. PT. Kaltim Daya Mandiri mengalami perkembangan pada sistem kelistrikannya pada wilayah Tursina dengan total jumlah penambahan beban sebesar 13.8 MW. Dari seluruh skenario yang telah dijalankan, dapat dikatakan bahwa sistem kelistrikan PT. Kaltim Daya Mandiri akan kembali berjalan pada kondisi continuous operation setelah adanya gangguan dengan diikuti adanya skema pelepasan beban dengan metode status dan frekuensi 6 langkah. Dari hasil simulasi tersebut didapatkan rekomendasi bahwa metode status dapat digunakan sebagai metode utama diikuti dengan metode frekuensi 6 langkah sebagai back up apabila terjadi kegagalan.

Continuity and reliability of operation in an electric power system is something that must be guaranteed stability. A system can be said to be stable when it meets the requirements of the balance between the mechanical power of the prime mover or the main mover of the generator with the electrical output power. If the prime mover cannot adjust its rotation to the size of the electrical load, it will cause the system condition to become unstable. Transient stability disturbances are associated with major obstacles that occur suddenly and in a short period of time (short-term) such as short circuit disturbances (short circuit), sudden line breaks by CB equipment (Circuit Breaker), and sudden load transfer. Kaltim Daya Mandiri (KDM) is one of the utility and energy companies established with the aim of providing utility needs in production and residential facilities as well as other companies located in the Kaltim Industrial Estate environment. PT. Kaltim Daya Mandiri experienced developments in its electricity system in the Tursina region with a total load addition of 13.8 MW. From all the scenarios that have been carried out, it can be said that the electrical system of PT. Kaltim Daya Mandiri will return to continuous operation after a disturbance followed by a load shedding scheme with a status and 6-step frequency method. From the simulation results, it was recommended that the status method can be used as the main method followed by the 6-step frequency method as a backup in case of failure.
