Abstract

Upah minimum merupakan komponen yang penting di kehidupan masyarakat. Upah minimum sendiri merupakan ketetapan dari pemerintah daerah terkait dengan mempertimbangkan inflasi,
pertumbuhan ekonomi, dan faktor-faktor lain. Upah minimum ini digunakan sebagai tolok ukur (standar) bagi perusahaan untuk menetapkan upah bagi pekerjanya. Selain itu, upah minimum ini juga dapat menghindarkan kaum pekerja dari perbudakan dengan standar upah yang jelas. Pada tahun 2021,
provinsi dengan upah minimum terendah kedua di Indonesia adalah Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Rendahnya UMR ini dapat memicu rendahnya juga semangat kerja masyarakat. Selain itu, rendahnya UMR dapat memicu perpindahan penduduk yang berlebihan di suatu daerah. Oleh karena itu, perlu dicari faktorfaktor yang mempengaruhi UMR di Provinsi Jawa Tengah agar perekonomian di provinsi tersebut tetap stabil. Dikarenakan data penelitian ini berbentuk data panel, maka metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode Regresi Data Panel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik data dan mengkaji model regresi dari data faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi upah minimum di Provinsi Jawa Tengah tahun 2017-2019 untuk nantinya informasi tersebut disampaikan ke lembaga terkait untuk
dapat ditindak lanjuti. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari website resmi BPS Jawa Tengah dengan mengambil variabel yang diduga mempengaruhi UMR yaitu variabel jumlah penduduk yang bekerja, rata-rata lama sekolah, dan PDRB perkapita. Model terbaik yang terpilih dalam penelitian ini adalah
fixed effect model dengan intersep antar individu. Berdasarkan analisis data pada pembahasan diatas diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi UMR di Provinsi Jawa Tengah adalah jumlah penduduk yang bekerja dan rata-rata lama sekolah. Variabel variabel tersebut mampu
menjelaskan UMR sebesar 88,91% dan sisanya dijelaskan oleh variabel diluar model.

The minimum wage is an important component in people's lives. Minimum wage itself is a stipulation from the local government related to considering inflation, economic growth, and other factors. This minimum wage is used as a benchmark (standard) for companies to set wages for their workers. In addition, this minimum wage too can prevent workers from slavery with clear wage standards. In 2021,
the province with the second lowest minimum wage in Indonesia is Central Java Province. The low This UMR can also trigger low community morale. In addition, the low UMR can triggering excessive population movement in an area. Therefore, it is necessary to look for the factors that affect the UMR in Central Java Province so that the economy in the province remains stable stable. Because the research data is in the form of panel data, the method used in
this research is Panel Data Regression method. This study aims to determine the characteristics data and examine the regression model of the data on the factors that influence the minimum wage in the province Central Java in 2017-2019 for later this information will be submitted to the relevant institutions for can be followed up. The data in this study were taken from the official website of the BPS Central Java with taking the variables suspected of influencing the UMR, namely the variable number of working population,
average length of schooling, and GRDP per capita. The best model chosen in this study is fixed effect model with intercepts between individuals. Based on the data analysis in the discussion above it was concluded that the factors influencing the UMR in Central Java Province were the number of people working and the average length of schooling. The variables are capable explains the UMR of 88.91% and the rest is explained by variables outside the model.
