Abstract

The operation of the ROV (remotely operated underwater vehicle) requires quite a long time to make underwater observations. Batteries are used as a source of power for the ROV. Battery capacity will decrease as time goes by due to the absence of a power supply from the ground station. To charge the ROV battery, it always needs to be brought back to the surface, which requires a lot of time and effort. With the operational time limit, an alternative is needed
by using a DC power supply to provide power via two-core cable transmission with a working voltage of 300 volts to 500 volts. The power supply is capable of transmitting power of 1500 watts, and there are current, voltage, power, and energy monitoring features displayed on the Nextion 4.3" LCD display. The voltage reading monitoring system has an accuracy of 99.76% with an error of 0.23% and an accuracy of current readings of 96.88 with an error of 3.11%. The power supply is able to work for 90 minutes, which is able to extend the operational time of the ROV, which previously used power from the battery for operational use for 45 minutes.
