Abstract

Reducing emissions has become one of the main focuses in the fight against climate change and maintaining environmental sustainability. One solution that is gaining popularity is the use of electric vehicles. Electric vehicles use BLDC (Brushless DC) motors that have two ways of control, namely sensored and sensorless. On the other hand, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become an increasingly rampant phenomenon in recent years. IoT enables long-distance wireless communication that opens new opportunities in various fields. In this context, this research uses an IoT monitoring system with variations in current filter settings of 10, 12.5, and 15 amperes. The results show that the sensorless BLDC controller has quite competitive efficiency when compared to the sensored controller produced by the manufacturer. In addition, the use of IoT as a communication system can run in real-time, with a time difference of only 134.62 milliseconds.
