Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi memicu organisasi untuk melakukan adaptasi dengan cepat dan banyak organisasi beranggapan bahwa investasi teknologi informasi (TI) dapat meningkatkan nilai kompetitif dalam persaingan pasar. Teknologi informasi merupakan salah satu sumber organisasi yang dapat memberikan keuntungan untuk meraih tujuan bisnis organisasi. Namun, peranan teknologi informasi dalam organisasi juga perlu diperhatikan dan dipastikan bahwa telah selaras dengan tujuan bisnis organisasi. Oleh karena itu, tugas akhir ini menerapkan pemetaan portofolio aplikasi untuk mengetahui posisi peranan teknologi informasi dalam sebuah organisasi dapat memengaruhi tujuan bisnis organisasi. Pemetaan portofolio ini dikembangkan oleh Peters dengan dua perspektif yaitu benefit dan IT orientation. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa grafik yang menggambarkan hasil plot dari investasi teknologi informasi dari organisasi. Grafik pemetaan portofolio menunjukkan bahwa investasi teknologi informasi cenderung berfokus pada peningkatan produktivitas, minimalisir risiko, dan operasi bisnis. Hal tersebut selaras dengan tujuan perusahaan dalam melakukan investasi TI dalam hal efisiensi operasional bisnis meskipun tidak sepenuhnya terpenuhi pada aspek peningkatan kualitas produk/layanan serta keunggulan kompetitif. Dengan pemetaan portofolio, organisasi diharapkan mampu memahami peran dan fungsi penerapan teknologi informasi serta potensi investasi TI di masa mendatang.

Technological developments trigger organizations to adapt quickly and many organizations assume that information technology (IT) investment can increase competitive value in market competition. Information technology is one of the organizational resources that can provide benefits to achieve organizational business goals. However, the role of information technology in the organization also needs to be considered and ensured that it is aligned with the organization's business objectives. Therefore, this final project applies application portfolio mapping to determine where the role of information technology in an organization can affect the organization's business goals. This portfolio mapping was developed by Peters with two perspectives, namely benefits and IT orientation. The result of this research is a graph that illustrates the plot results of the organization's information technology investment. The portfolio mapping graph shows that information technology investments tend to focus on increasing productivity, minimizing risk, and business operations. This is in line with the company's objectives in making IT investments in terms of business operational efficiency even though it is not fully met in the aspects of improving product/service quality and competitive advantage. With portfolio mapping, organizations are expected to be able to understand the role and function of information technology implementation as well as the potential for future IT investments.
