Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang daya dukung dan potensi pengembangan Ekowisata Hutan Mangrove Wonorejo Surabaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis daya dukung Ekowisata Hutan Mangrove Wonorejo berdasarkan kondisi yang ada dan potensi pengembangannya berdasarkan nilai daya dukungnya. Metode penelitian bersifat kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis Cifuentes untuk menghitung daya dukung wisata dan metode analisis SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats) untuk merumuskan potensi pengembangan ekowisata. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam; data sekunder diperoleh melalui sumber data resmi, jurnal ilmiah, dan berita. Hasil penelitian ini antara lain: 1) Daya dukung kawasan ekowisata memadai, kapasitas jumlah pengunjung masih belum melebihi batas maksimal daya dukung kawasan ekowisata; 2) Daya tarik utama Ekowisata Hutan Mangrove Wonorejo adalah pemandangan alam yang indah, asri, sejuk, dan dingin dengan spot foto bagus; 3) Potensi pengembangan kawasan ekowisata dapat dilakukan melalui pelaksanaan strategi kombinasi yang mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor internal dengan perbaikan kelengkapan fasilitas dan manajemen pengelolaan, serta faktor-faktor eksternal dengan memperluas jaringan kerjasama dengan instansi lain. Penelitian ini dapat berkontribusi untuk pengembangan Ilmu Studi Pembangunan pada umumnya dan secara khusus menjadi masukan bagi pengembangan kawasan ekowisata Hutan Mangrove Wonorejo Surabaya.

This study discusses the carrying capacity and potential for ecotourism development of the Mangrove Forest Wonorejo Surabaya. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the carrying capacity of the Wonorejo Mangrove Forest Ecotourism based on existing conditions and the potential for its development based on its carrying capacity value. The research method is qualitative in nature by using the Cifuentes analysis method to calculate tourism carrying capacity and the SWOT analysis method (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) to formulate ecotourism development potential. Primary data collection is done through observation and in-depth interviews; secondary data obtained through official data sources, scientific journals, and news. The results of this study include: 1) The carrying capacity of the ecotourism area is adequate, the capacity for the number of visitors still does not exceed the maximum carrying capacity of the ecotourism area; 2) The main attraction of the Wonorejo Mangrove Forest Ecotourism is the beautiful, beautiful, cool and cold natural scenery with good photo spots; 3) The potential for the development of ecotourism areas can be carried out through the implementation of a combination strategy that takes into account internal factors by improving the completeness of facilities and management, as well as external factors by expanding the network of cooperation with other agencies. This research can contribute to the development of Development Studies in general and specifically become input for the development of the Wonorejo Mangrove Forest Ecotourism area in Surabaya.
