Abstract
PT Garam merupakan BUMN yang berjalan dalam industri makanan dan memegang sebagian besar pasar garam di Indonesia. Proses pengolahan garam beryodium terdiri dari pencucian, penggilingan, pengeringan, pembubuhan yodium, dan pengemasan. Proses pencucian garam mentah menghasilkan produk sampingan berupa limbah cair yang disebut air brine. Pabrik Garam Industri Camplong milik PT Garam belum memiliki unit pengolahan yang baik untuk mengolah air brine sehingga polutan pencemar yang terkandung dalam air brine melampaui batas baku mutu yang berlaku dan memerlukan IPAL. Pemilihan unit pengolah limbah perlu diperhatikan secara teliti dikarenakan karakteristik dari limbah garam (air brine) yang memiliki kadar salinitas, TSS, TDS dan COD yang tinggi namun nilai BOD yang rendah. Metode pengolahan yang digunakan untuk mengolah air limbah dengan karakteristik tersebut menggunakan metode fisik. Data primer didapat dengan observasi secara langsung, analisis air limbah di laboratorium, dan analisis terhadap kondisi eksisting lapangan sedangkan data sekunder didapatkan melalui berbagai sumber, seperti pihak PT Garam dan berbagai sumber literatur. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa Detail Engineering Desain (DED), Bill of Quantity (BOQ), dan Rencana Anggaran Biaya (RAB) IPAL. Unit pengolahan yang digunakan dalam perencanaan IPAL Pabrik Garam Industri Camplong terdiri dari 1 unit bak ekualisasi (3,6 m x 7,2 m x 2 m), 1 unit bak sedimentasi pertama (2,1 m x 0,7 m x 0,9 m), 1 unit bak elektrokoagulasi (1,6 m x 0,8 m x 0,5 m), 1 unit bak sedimentasi kedua (2,1 m x 0,7 m x 0,9 m), 1 unit filtrasi berupa rapid sand filter (0,5 m x 0,9 m) berbentuk tabung berdiameter, dan 1 unit bak penampung akhir (2,4 m x 1,2 m x 1 m), serta 1 unit bak pengumpul lumpur (0,5 m x 0,5 m x 0,5 m). RAB konstruksi yang diperlukan untuk pembangunan IPAL adalah sebesar Rp196.600.000,00 dengan biaya operasional IPAL sebesar Rp44.464.748 per tahun.

PT Garam is a state-owned company operating in the food industry and holds most of the salt market in Indonesia. The processing of iodized salt consists of washing, grinding, drying, adding iodine, and packaging. The raw salt washing process produces a by-product in the form of liquid waste called brine water. The Camplong Industrial Salt Factory owned by PT Garam does not yet have a proper processing unit to process brine water so that the pollutant contained in the brine water exceeds the applicable quality standards and requires an WWTP. The selection of the waste treatment unit needs to be considered carefully due to the characteristics of the brine water which has high levels of salinity, TSS, TDS and COD but low BOD values. The treatment method used to treat wastewater with these characteristics uses physical methods. Primary data was obtained by direct observation, analysis of wastewater in the laboratory, and analysis of the existing field conditions, while secondary data was obtained from various sources, such as PT Garam and various literature sources. The results of this research are Detail Engineering Design (DED), Bill of Quantity (BOQ), and WWTP Cost Budget Plan (RAB). The treatment unit used in the planning of the IPAL Camplong Industrial Salt Factory consists of 1 unit equalization tub (3.6 m x 7.2 m x 2 m), 1 unit first sedimentation tub (2.1 m x 0.7 m x 0.9 m), 1 unit electrocoagulation tub (1.6 m x 0.8 m x 0.5 m), 1 unit second sedimentation tub (2.1 m x 0.7 m x 0.9 m), 1 unit filtration in the form of rapid sand filter (0.5 m x 0.9 m) in the form of a tubular diameter, and 1 unit of final storage tank (2.4 m x 1.2 m x 1 m), and 1 unit of sludge collection tank (0.5 m x 0.5 m x 0.5 m). The construction RAB required for the construction of WWTP is Rp.196,600,000.00 with WWTP operational costs of Rp.44,464,748 per year.
