Abstract

Pada saat ini kapal-kapal yang ada di Indonesia masih menggunakan sistem propulsi mekanis dengan motor diesel sebagai penggerak utama dan generator sebagai penyuplai daya listrik. Adanya isu lingkungan dan krisis energi berdampak pada perubahan pemilihan sistem propulsi yang dipergunakan di kapal ikan. Salah satu sistem propulsi yang saat ini mulai banyak diaplikasikan pada kapal ikan adalah sistem propulsi elektris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa teknis dan ekonomis sistem propulsi elektris pada kapal ikan 30 GT tipe purse seine dengan mengganti motor diesel menjadi motor listrik yang disuplai oleh generator. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan kebutuhan daya, diperoleh motor listrik 30 kW untuk mencapai kecepatan 9 knot dengan waktu berlayar 15 jam per hari selama 3 minggu. Sesuai hasil analisa ekonomis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan sistem propulsi elektris dapat menghemat biaya bahan bakar sampai Rp 40.000.000,00 per tahun. ================================================================= At the moment ships in Indonesia still use mechanical propulsion system with a motor diesel as a prime mover and the generator as supplier of electrical power. The concerns the environment and the energy crisis have an impact on change electrical propulsion system which used in a fishing vessel. One of the systems propulsion who are now starting to many apply to fishing vessels is a electrical propulsion system. This study aims to to analyze technical and economical electrical propulsion system on a fishing vessels 30 gt type purse seine by replacing motor diesel be an electric motor that supplied by generator .Based on the results of requirement calculation power , obtained an electric motor 30 kw to reach the speed 9 knots with its sailing 15 hours a day for three weeks. According the results of the analysis economical obtained the conclusion that the utilization of the electrical propulsion system discharge can save fuel cost to rp 40.000.000,00 per year.
