Abstract

Game merupakan salah satu media hiburan yang sedang pesat-pesatnya berkembang dan bermain game adalah salah satu cara untuk mengisi waktu luang. Hingga saat ini banyak sekali jenis game yang sudah ada, selain itu semakin bertambah pula fitur pembangun maupun inovasi pendukung untuk suatu game. Game yang hingga kini berkembang diantaranya game bergenre first person shooter (FPS).
Fitur-fitur pembangun game selalu ditingkatkan agar semakin menarik perhatian dan membuat pemain/gamer lebih betah dalam bermain, diantaranya berkembang fitur Non Playable Character (NPC). NPC memiliki fungsi esensial dalam artifisial dunia game sehingga lebih immersive, terdiri beragam macam, salah satunya yang sangat menambah tantangan saat bermain yaitu karakter musuh. Selain itu, saat ini sedang berkembang inovasi-inovasi baru pendukung sebuah game, terutama untuk game pada komputer maupun perangkat bergerak, salah satunya adalah teknologi bernama virtual reality/realitas virtual.
‘Survival Maze’ merupakan inovasi FPS yang dirancang berbasis Realitas Virtual Perangkat Android. Sebagaimana aplikasi realitas virtual lainnya, game ini akan menggunakan sudut pandang orang pertama, ditambah terdapat karakter musuh agar game lebih menarik dan menantang bagi pemain. Karakter musuh nantinya akan dilengkapi dengan metode Finite State Machine (FSM) dalam pembuatan perilakunya.
Pengujian aplikasi dilakukan dengan mengoperasikannya pada perangkat berbeda dan juga melalui kuesioner responden yang pernah memainkan permainan sejenis, yaitu jenis FPS ataupun jenis maze/labirin sebelumnya. Berdasarkan pengujian, aplikasi permainan ini dapat menampilkan objek-objek dalam tampilan realitas virtual serta tidak ada kebutuhan fungsional yang tidak bekerja untuk fitur-fitur dasar yang diperlukan pada aplikasi permainan ini. Dengan dikembangkannya aplikasi ini, diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif game dengan jenis serupa dan menjadi dasar pengembangan aplikasi game sejenis yang lebih menarik.

Game is one medium of entertainment that is rapidly growing and playing games is one way to fill the spare time. Until now a lot of types of games that already exist, in addition to the increasing features are also builders and innovation support for a game. Games that until now developed among first person shooter genre games (FPS).
The game builder features are always enhanced to attract more attention and make players / gamers more comfortable in playing, including developing features Non Playable Character (NPC). NPC has an essential function in the artificial world of the game so it become more immersive, consists of various kinds, one of which greatly adds to the challenge when playing the enemy characters. In addition, currently developing new innovations support a game, especially for games on computers and mobile devices, one of which is a technology called virtual reality.
'Survival Maze' is an FPS innovation designed based on the Virtual Reality of Android Devices. As with other virtual reality applications, this game will use the first person's perspective, plus there are enemy characters to make the game more interesting and challenging for players. The enemy character will be equipped with Finite State Machine (FSM) method in making its behavior.
Testing the application is done by operating on different devices and also through questionnaires of respondents who have played a similar game, the type of FPS or type of maze / labyrinth before. Based on testing, it is shown that this application can show the objects in virtual reality view and there is no functional requirements that is not working as the base features in this game. With the development of this application, it is expected to be an alternative game and become the basis of development of similar game applications to become more interesting.
