Abstract

Pada umumnya kapal ikan menggunakan sistem propulsi mekanis dengan motor diesel sebagai penggerak utama. Banyak yang melakukan analisa dalam rangka menciptakan sistem ramah lingkungan dengan cara beralih menjadi sistem elektrik yang bersumber dari baterai. Namun, hal tersebut juga masih kurang efisien sehingga dilakukan perencanaan ulang dalam sistem propulsi elektrik menggunakan panel surya. Sebagai objek penelitian adalah kapal ikan jenis purse saine ukuran 30 GT. Berdasarkan
perhitungan kebutuhan daya, diperoleh motor listrik 75 kW untuk mencapai kecepatan 9 knot dengan sistem berlayar one day trip selama 9 jam pelayaran. Sesuai hasil analisa
ekonomis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan panel surya dalam sistem propulsi elektrik dengan panel tipe monocrystalline kapasitas 300 wattpeak jumlah 55 unit dan
baterai Deep Blue Seald tipe gel kapasitas 220 Ah tegangan 24 Volt jumlah 104 buah, lebih menguntungkan dan dapat menghemat biaya operasional kapal dibandingkan
sistem propulsi elektrik tanpa panel surya. Namun jumlah 55 unit panel surya belum mampu untuk memenuhi seluruh kebutuhan daya dari kapal sehingga perlu dilakukan analisa lebih lanjut mengenai jenis dan tipe panel surya untuk mendapatkan efisiensi yang lebih baik.

without solar panels.However, 55 units of solar panels has not been able to fill all the power requirements of the vessel so thats why it needs to analyze further the
type of solar panels to get the efficiency better.
