Abstract

Museum adalah lembaga yang diperuntukkan pada masyarakat umum. Museum berfungsi mengumpulkan, merawat, dan menyajikan serta melestarikan warisan budaya masyarakat untuk tujuan studi, penelitian dan kesenangan atau hiburan. Kehadiran museum selain sebagai sarana rekreasi dan informasi, juga berfungsi sebagai sarana edukasi yang penting untuk anak-anak untuk diberikan pengetahuan dan sebagai stimulus belajar. Jumlah koleksi museum yang banyak di Indonesia beserta beragam kondisinya membuat tidak semua koleksi tersebut dapat di pamerkan ke pengunjung oleh setiap museum, beberapa koleksi juga memiliki blind spot pada sisi tertentu berdasarkan ukuran, kondisi dan penempatan suatu objek tersebut. Di sisi lain, perkembangan teknologi yang untuk museum sudah banyak diaplikasikan baik di dalam maupun luar negeri. Beberapa penelitian terkait museum diantaranya digitalisasi objek museum, museum virtual, 3d Steroskopis dan navigasi dan eksplorasi alami pada museum. Penggunaan Augmented reality dan Virtual Reality yang sudah tidak terlalu asing di kalangan masyarakat juga merupakan potensi untuk menarik minat pengunjung untuk berkunjung ke museum. Penelitian yang sedang dilakukan adalah membuat display media untuk membuat sebuah stasiun virtual dan ekslplorasi interaktif berupa interaksi pengunjung secara virtual dengan objek 3d koleksi museum secara alami, dengan menggunakan metode reverse engineering berupa scanning 3d objek, dan 3d modelling dengan bantuan Augmented Reality dan Sensor gerak tangan untuk meningkatkan user experience pada museum. ================================================================================================ Museum is an institution dedicated to the general public. The museum functions to collect, care for, present and preserve the cultural heritage of the community for educational purposes, research and leisure or entertainment. The museum's existence apart from being a means of recreation and information, also serves as an important educational tool for children to be given knowledge and as a learning stimulus. The huge number of museum collections in Indonesia and its various conditions make the collections not fully exhibited to visitors by every museum. Some collections also have blind spots on certain sides based on size, condition and placement of an object. On the other hand, the development of technology for the museum has been widely applied both at home and abroad. Some studies related to Museum Development such as digitizing museum objects, virtual museums, 3d Steroscopic, natural navigation and exploration of museums. The use of Augmented reality and Virtual Reality that commonly known by the people nowadays is also a potential to attract visitors to visit the museum. The current research is to create media display that applies virtual gear and interactive exploration with 3d objects of museum collections. This research based on reverse engineering method of 3d object scanning, 3d modeling with Augmented Reality and Hand Motion Sensor to increase visitor's experience at the museum.
