Abstract

Instalasi Pengolahan Air Minum (IPAM) adalah alat utama PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya dalam melayani kebutuhan air bersih para pelanggannya. Oleh karena itulah, IPAM harus bekerja secara kontinyu 24 jam dengan kualitas dan kuantitas yang terjaga. Instalasi PDAM Ngagel I dengan kapasitas 1300 l/dt. Pada unit bangunan Instalasi PDAM Ngagel I ini, terdapat bagian yang mempunyai peranan terhadap kualitas hasil produksi IPAM, yaitu Clearator. Karena di Clearator ini proses penjernihan paling utama yang terdiri dari flokulasi, koagulasi dan sedimentasi terjadi. Sedang pada unit berikutnya yaitu filter lebih bersifat menyempurnakan dari sisa-sisa flok kotoran yang belum terendapkan di Clearator. Dari hasil evaluasi didapatkan data-data yaitu: Pada unit Clearator parameter kinerja OFR (Over Flow Rate) belum memenuhi kriteria desain yaitu 17.78 m3/m2/hari, Kinerja waktu detensi juga belum memenuhi kriteria desain yaitu 50.27 menit, Gradien kecepatan flokulator pada kompartemen I belum memenuhi kriteria desain yaitu 642.49 l/detik, Kompartemen II, III, kompartemen upflow memenuhi kriteria desain yaitu 81.75/detik, 65.49 l/detik, dan 9.85/detik, pada bilangan reynold belum memenuhi kriteria desain yaitu Nre= 218.83, pada solid loading rate juga belum memenuhi kriteria desain yaitu 5.78 m/jam. ========== Drinking Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is the main tool PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya in serving customers needs clean water. Therefore, IPAM must work continuously 24 hours with the quality and quantity are maintained. PDAM Ngagel I installation with a capacity of 1300 l/dt newly constructed and operated is one of them Installation building unit PDAM Ngagel I have, there is a section that has the most decisive role to the quality of production IPAM, namely Clearator. Because in this Clearator ultimate purification process that consists of flocculation, coagulation and sedimentation occurred. Being the next unit that filters are more complete than the remnants of floc dirt that has not been deposited in Clearator. From the results of the evaluation of the data obtained, namely: At Clearator unit performance parameters OFR (Over Flow Rate) do not meet the design criteria is 17.78 m3/m2/day, detention time performance is also not meet the design criteria is 50.27 minutes, flokulator velocity gradient in the first compartment not meet the design criteria is 642.49 l/sec, compartment II, III, upflow compartment meets the design criteria, namely 81.75/sec, 65.49 l/sec, and 9.85/sec, the Reynolds number not meet the design criteria that NRE = 218.83, on solid loading rate is also not meet the design criteria that is 5.78 m/h.
