Abstract

Stabilisasi/Solidifikasi (S/S) merupakan salah satu teknologi
pengolahan limbah B3 mengandung logam berat.
memenuhi baku mutu sebesar 10 ton/m2. Nilai kuat tekan maksimum
pada penambahan hidrokarbon 2,5% adalah 2550 ton/m2, dan
menurun hingga 1700 ton/m2 dengan penambahan parafin 10%. Hasil
paint filter test menunjukkan tidak adanya cairan bebas yang tersisa ========== Stabilization/Solidification (S/S) is one of inorganic hazardous
waste treatment options. The objectives of this research are: (1)
determine the optimum mixture of portland cement and tras soil to
solidify simulated hazardous wastewater containing copper, chromium
(VI), and lead, (2) to determine the effect of hydrocarbon to the S/S
product quality.
The composition of portland cement and tras soil was varied
using 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, and 0:100 ratios. Paraffin as
hydrocarbon representative was added to the optimum mixture of
cement and tras in 2,5%, 5%, 7,5%, and 10% proportions. The S/S
product quality was tested according to compressive strength, Toxicity
Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP), and paint filter tests.
Measurement of chromium (VI), copper, and lead were conducted
using colorimetric, neocuproine, and dithizone methods respectively.
The research resulted in the optimum composition of cement
and tras of 50:50. This composition was selected for determining the
effect of paraffin addition. The results of TCLP test for copper,
chromium (VI), and lead were 0.02, 3.68, and 0.01 mg/L respectively,
which were bellow the TCLP quality standards. The compressive
strength of the S/S product was 1750 ton/m2, which met the standard
of 10 ton/m2. The maximum compressive strength of the S/S product
with the addition of 2,5% of paraffin was 2550 ton/m2, and decreased
to 1700 ton/m2 with the addition of 10% of paraffin. The paint filter tests
in all paraffin added samples showed no free liquid seeped out.
