Abstract

Kereta api merupakan salah satu kendaraan angkut masal yang memiliki peran penting dalam menunjang sarana transportasi darat untuk masyarakat. PT.INKA memproduksi lantai kereta api menggunakan sistem unitex. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan filler ampas tebu dan agregat pada material lantai kereta api. Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah agregat kasar yang diperoleh dari daerah Tuban (agregat tuban) dan agregat kasar yang diperoleh dari Cilacap (agregat puskim), filler ampas tebu, agregat halus, semen portland, resin epoksi, dan hardener. Setelah melakukan pencampuran dan melalui proses curing time, selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian fisik yang meliputi uji densitas, porositas, dan water absorbability, serta pengujian mekanik yang meliputi pengujian bending dan kuat tekan. Uji XRD, uji FTIR dan uji mikrografi dilakukan pada material uji. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan disimpulkan bahwa penambahan komposisi filler ampas tebu yang digunakan, maka sifat mekanik dan fisik yang dihasilkan juga bervariasi. Nilai optimal didapat pada material uji B pada komposisi 15%tuban 82%puskim 3%filler ampas tebu dengan nilai density 1,28 g/cm3, water absorbability 11,01%, porosity 35,82%, kuat tekan 40,79 MPa, dan kuat lentur 4,6 MPa.

Train is one of the mass transport vehicles that has an important role in supporting transportation facilities for the community. During this time, PT.INKA produced the train floors using the Unitex system. Te aim of this study to analyze the effect of bagasse fillers and aggregate in train floor construction. The materials used in this study were coarse aggregates from Tuban (tuban aggregate) and coarse aggregates from Cilacap (puskim aggregate), bagasse filler, fine aggregate, portland cement, epoxy resin, and hardener. After being mixed and finished the curing time, physical testing was done. The includes from physical testing were density, porosity, and water absorption. In addition, mechanical testing which includes flexural testing and compressive strength. XRD testing, FTIR and micrographic tests were also carried out on the test material. From the research, the composition of bagasse filler composition influenced the mechanical and physical properties that produced from material testing. The optimal value was obtained in B material testing that composition was 15% of tuban 82% of puskim 3% bagasse filler with a density of 1.28 g/ cm3 , water absorption 11.01%, porosity 35.82%, compressive strength 40.79 MPa and 4.6 MPa flexural strength.
