Abstract

Setiap muatan pada dasarnya memiliki karakteristik dan
membutuhkan perlakuan yang berbeda-beda. Produk hortikultura
merupakan suatu komoditas yang terus mengalami proses
respirasi meskipun sudah terpisah dari tanaman induknya. Oleh
karenanya, untuk pengangkutan komoditas hortikultura selain
memperhatikan suhu penyimpanan perlu diperhatikan juga kadar
gas dari hasil respirasi komoditas tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian
ini adalah merancang sistem kontrol atmosfer untuk penanganan
kadar CO2 di dalam reefer container untuk muatan pisang mas
kirana. Sensor gas CO2 yang digunakan adalah DT-sense carbon
dioxide MG-811, sedangkan mikrokontroler yang digunakan
adalah arduino mega. Berdasarkan percobaan, sistem kontrol
yang dirancang mampu menjaga kadar CO2. Percobaan dilakukan
pada suhu penyimpanan 11oC, 20oC, dan 30oC. Pada suhu 11oC
kadar CO2 naik dari 40ppm ke 70ppm membutuhkan waktu
sekitar 4,49 jam, suhu 20oC 3,10 jam, dan suhu 30oC 2,06 jam.
Kadar CO2 kembali mencapai batas bawah 40ppm pada suhu
11oC membutuhkan waktu 17,30 menit. Pada suhu 20oC dan
30
oC masing – masing membutuhkan waktu 11,30 menit dan 7,30
menit

requires different treatment. Horticultural product is a commodity
that continues to experience the process of respiration, although it
has been separated from their parent plant. Therefore, in the
transport of horticultural commodities there are several factors
that must be considered, the storage temperature and respiration
gas levels from the results of these commodities. CO2 gas sensor
which is used DT-sense carbon dioxide MG-811, whereas the
microcontroller that is used arduino mega. The experiments were
carried out at the temperature storage 11oC, 20oC and 30oC. Based
on the experiment control system which has planed can keep the
amount of CO2 concentration. At the temperature of 11oC CO2
levels rise from 40ppm to 70ppm takes about 4.49 hours, 3.10
hours at the temperature of 20oC and 30oC temperature of 2.06
hours. The levels of CO2 were back to the lower limit of 40 ppm
at the temperature of 11oC it took 17.30 minutes. At the
temperature of 20oC and 30oC each of them needs11.30 and 7.30
minutes
