Abstract

Penentuan jumlah dan kapasitas kapal untuk distribusi LNG harus
mempertimbangkan beberapa faktor, yaitu : jumlah dan lokasi dari depot dan node
demand, daily of take, kapasitas tangki LNG, aturan penugasan kapal, kecepatan
kapal, dan boil-off rate. Adanya variabilitas dan keterkaitan antar faktor-faktor
tersebut mengakibatkan penentuan jumlah dan kapasitas kapal semakin kompleks.
Penelitian ini menggunakan model discrete-event simulation untuk
menentukan jumlah dan kapasitas kapal pada suatu sistem distribusi LNG yang
terdiri dari satu terminal regasifikasi dan empat PLTG. Ukuran performansi sistem
distribusi yang ingin dicapai yaitu minimasi biaya dan mencapai service level
yang diharapkan (tanpa shortage).
Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model simulasi mampu
menggambarkan sistem distribusi LNG dari Terminal Regasifikasi Arun menuju
empat PLTG. Model dapat menghasilkan keputusan strategis terkait penentuan
jumlah dan kapasitas kapal, ukuran tangki, dan reorder point tanpa shortage dan
biaya minimum.

In the determination of number and capacity of vessels , there are some
factors that have to be considered, such as, the number and location of depot and
demand nodes, daily of take, LNG storage capacity, rule for vessel assignment,
vessel velocity, and boil-off rate. Variability and interdependency between these
factors make the determination of the number and capacity of vessels become
fairly complex.
This research uses discrete-event simulation model to find out the
number and capacity of vessels for LNG distribution system that consist of a
regasification terminal and four gas power plant. The measurement of LNG
distribution system performance to be achieved is to minimize cost and to reach
the expected service level (without shortage).
The result shows that the simulation model is able to describe LNG
distribution system from regasification terminal to four power plants. It is also
able to yield strategic decision such as, number and capacity of vessels, power
plant storage capacity, and reorder point with expected service level and yield the
most minimum cost.
