Abstract

Struktur bangunan lepas pantai lambat laun akan mengalami kerusakan. Dalam proses perbaikannya banyak melibatkan proses pengelasan baik di darat maupun di bawah air. Apabila terjadi kerusakan di bawah air maka diperlukan teknologi pengelasan bawah air untuk memperbaikinya. Pengelasan wet welding dengan metode SMAW banyak digunakan dalam proses pengelasan bawah air karena lebih ekomonis dan peralatan yang fleksibel sehingga memungkinkan welder untuk langsung melakukan proses pengelasan di bawah air. Dalam paper review ini mengkaji pengaruh pengelasan SMAW di darat dan di bawah air terhadap struktur mikro dan kekerasan. Dari hasil paper review didapatkan perubahan struktur mikro dimana hasil pengelasan SMAW di bawah air memiliki ukuran butir yang lebih kecil dan persentase perlit yang lebih tinggi. Pengelasan SMAW bawah air juga mempengaruhi nilai kekerasan dimana kekerasannya lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan di darat.

Offshore building structures will eventually suffer damage. In the process of improvement many involve welding processes both on land and underwater. For occasional case of underwater damage, it is required a special needs underwater technology to fix it. By using a wet welding technique with SMAW Method is a common widely used in the underwater welding process, which are the processes have lots of benefits, such as the economical cost and flexible equipments are allows the welder to directly perform the process of processing in underwater condition. In this paper review did examine the influence of SMAW welding both on land and underwater against micro structures and hardness. From the paper review obtained changes in the micro structure where the welding result of SMAW underwater has a smaller grain size and more percentage of perlit. The underwater SMAW welding also affects the value of hardness where the hardness is higher than on land.
