Abstract

Pupuk NPK merupakan pupuk anorganik yang memiliki kombinasi tiga nutrisi utama untuk berbagai tanaman, yaitu N (nitrogen), P (fosfor), serta K (kalium). Permintaan pupuk NPK meningkat pesat sebesar 5,67% dari 4.801.567 ton menjadi 5.078.544 ton. Namun, produksi pupuk NPK cenderung stagnan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dibangunnya suatu pabrik pupuk NPK baru yang mempunyai kapasitas cukup besar untuk menutup defisit yang terjadi. Proses pembuatan pupuk meliputi proses pencampuran dan reaksi. Pada proses ini digunakan bahan baku padat berupa urea, KCl, dan clay, sedangkan bahan baku liquid berupa H2SO4, H3PO4, dan NH3. Kemudian, dimasukkan ke dalam granulator untuk membentuk butiran produk. Produk keluar dari granulator kemudian masuk ke rotary dryer untuk dikeringkan dengan menggunakan udara panas hingga kadar air mencapai 1,5% kemudian didinginkan di rotary cooler. Produk kemudian dipisahkan berdasarkan ukuran, produk yang sesuai ukuran (onsize) akan masuk ke coater. Setelah itu, produk masuk ke coater untuk dilapisi dengan coating oil dan coating powder. Pabrik pupuk NPK berbentuk perseroan terbatas dengan kapasitas produksi sebesar 470.000 ton/tahun. Pabrik ini memiliki investasi total sebesar Rp. 333.272.502.740 dan biaya produksi total sebesar Rp. 3.290.441.783.241. Hasil penjualan pabrik diperkirakan sebesar Rp. 3.431.000.000.000 dengan Internal Rate of Return (IRR) senilai 37,1% per tahun, pay out time (POT) selama 5,12 tahun, dan break event point (BEP) sebesar 55,45%. ========================================================= NPK fertilizer is an inorganic fertilizer that has a combination of three main nutrition for many plants, that is N (nitrogen), P (phosphor), and K (potassium). NPK fertilizer demand is increasing rapidly by 5,67% from 4.801.567 tons to 5.078.544 tons. However, NPK fertilizer production is stagnant. Therefore, a new NPK fertilizer plant that has a big capacity needs to be built to decreasing the deficit. The process of making NPK fertilizer is the mixing and reaction process. In this process used solid raw materials, that are urea, KCl, clay, and liquid raw materials, which are H2SO4, H3PO4, dan NH3. Then, the mixture is processed in a granulator to form a granule product. The product from the granulator is then dried in a rotary dryer using hot air until its water content is 1,5%. After that, the product is cooled in a rotary cooler. The product is then screened by its size. The onsize product is then coated in a rotary coater with coating oil and coating powder. This NPK fertilizer plant is a limited liability company with a production capacity of 470.000 tons/year. This plant has a total investment of Rp. 333.272.502.740 and the production cost of Rp. 3.290.441.783.241. The sales of this plant are projected by Rp. 3.431.000.000.000 with Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 37,1% per year, payout time (POT) during 5,12 years, and break-even point (BEP) of 55,45%.
