Abstract

Indonesia is an island nation that is in the ring of fire, an area that is often subjected to earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. This makes Indonesia vulnerable to natural disasters. Quick response actions need to be taken, post-disaster response to reduce the number of victims caused by disasters. One of the main factors is the time needed for the overall evacuation process in the area affected by the disaster. Therefore adequate tools are needed to help shorten the evacuation process. Mobile cable driven parallel robot (M-CDPR) is an alternative tool offered to speed up the evacuation process with a large area. In this research, following the previous research, M-CDPR has 3 mobile bases and 3 cables with reconfigurable boom connected to one point mass. The purpose of this study is to look at the dynamic effect of reconfigurable boom on tipping and rolling on the M-CDPR mobile base equilibrium and the effect of cable vibrations on tipping and rolling on the M-CDPR mobile base equilibrium
Research begins with problem identification and literature study. Then the design parameters and research variables are determined. The M-CDPR geometry model, platform dynamic equilibrium, reconfigurable dynamic equilibrium boom and static equilibrium for each mobile base can then be analyzed. The last stage of this research is the zero moment point analysis (ZMP) for each mobile base and vibration analysis on the cable.
From the research carried out, the results of the analysis were that the non-reconfigurable boom experienced rolling on the 3rd mobile base with a load on the platform of 3600 kg at a range of time 80 – 100 seconds following the 1/36 horizontal helix trajectory, while the reconfigurable boom did not experience tipping or rolling on each mobile base. A reconfigurable boom with a fast duration resulting in the mobile base tipping or rolling on the mobile base. From different time durations, a small time duration also results in a larger vibration or actual value compared to the path value. The simulation results show that reconfigurable is better at completing trajectories with a load of 3600 kg and a 1/36 horizontal helix than non-reconfigurable ones. In reconfigurable, the faster the duration of completing the track will make it easier for tipping and rolling to occur and increase the vibration value or the ratio between the actual value and the track should increase.
