Abstract

Banjarmasin adalah daerah yang memiliki tanah lunak yang relatif tebal hingga mencapai kedalaman 30 - 40 m. Di Banjarmasin, banyak bangunan yang dibangun menggunakan pondasi tiang lekatan (friction pile) pada kondisi tanah lunak. Bangunan-bangunan berlantai dua yang menggunakan pondasi friction pile masih berdiri tetap tetapi banyak bangunan berlantai tiga s/d lima mengalami kemiringan (differential settlement) jika menggunakan pondasi tahanan ujung pada bangunan tingkat tiga s/d lima, biaya pondasi tiang akan lebih mahal dibandingkan biaya konstruksi karena pondasi tiang mencapai tanah keras.
Pada studi ini, dilakukan perencanaan pondasi friction pile yang dapat menjamin penurunan merata pada bangunan tingkat tiga s/d lima dengan kondisi tanah lunak yang tebal menggunakan metode P-Z Curve. Pada pondasi tersebut perlu diperhitungkan daya dukung tanah, penurunan akibat beban struktur atas (immediate settlement), penurunan konsolidasi (long term settlement) dan penurunan akibat rangkak (long term consolidation) untuk jangka waktu selama 25 tahun. Perencanaan pondasi tersebut akan dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional, yaitu pondasi tahanan ujung (end bearing pile) yang akan dihitung jumlah tiang yang dibutuhkan dan kedalamannya sedangkan pada pondasi friction pile akan dihitung kebutuhan jumlah tulangan dan kedalaman tiangnya.
Dari hasil perencanaan didapatkan suatu kesimpulan bahwa perencanaan pondasi friction pile lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan perencanaan pondasi end bearing pile dimana pondasi friction pile sudah memperhitungkan penurunan merata (tidak terjadi differential settlement) sehingga juga kuat untuk menahan gedung tingkat tiga s/d lima. Pondasi end bearing pile kuat juga untuk menahan gedung tersebut tetapi dalam segi biaya, perencanaan pondasi friction pile lebih hemat daripada perencanaan end bearing pile. Bahwa jumlah dan kedalaman tiang dari hasil perencanaan pondasi friction pile pada gedung tingkat tiga s/d lima berturut-turut adalah 14 m;134 buah, 17 m;134 buah, dan 23 m;136 buah sedangkan untuk pondasi end bearing pile pada gedung tiga s/d lima berturut-turut adalah 40 m;108 buah, 40m;118 buah, dan 40m;129 buah.

Banjarmasin is an area that has relatively thick soft soil to depth of 30-40 m. In Banjarmasin, many buildings are built using friction pile foundation in soft soil condition. Two-storey buildings that use friction pile foundation are still standing but many three to five-storey buildings which experience slope (differential settlement) if using end-bearing pile foundation on three to five-storey buildings, the cost of the pile foundation will be more expensive than the cost of the constructions because the piles foundation reach hard soil.
In this study, planning of friction pile foundation is carried out that can guarantee a uniform settlement in buildings three to five levels with thick soft soil condition using the P-Z Curve method. On that foundation, it is necessary to be calculated the bearing capacity, settlement due to the structure of the above loads (immediate settlement), consolidation settlement (long term consolidation), and creep settlement (long term settlement) for a period of 25 years. The foundation planning will be compared with conventional method, namely end bearing pile foundation which will calculate the number of piles are needed and theirs depth, while the friction pile foundation will see the need for the amount of poers reinforement and depth of the piles.

From the results of the planning, it can be concluded that the planning of the friction pile foundation using the P-Z Curve method is more effective than the planning of the end bearing pile foundation using the conventional method where the friction pile foundation has been planned by calculating uniform settlement (there is no differential settlement) so it is also strong to withstand levels of three of five buildings. The end bearing pile foundation is also strong to hold the buildings but in terms of cost, planning of the friction pile is more efficient than planning of the end bearing pile. That the numbers and depth of friction pile foundation piles required in a building with three to five levels are 14 m;134 pieces, 17 m;134 pieces, and 24 m;136 pieces, while for the numbers and depth of end bearing pile foundation piles required in a building with three to five levels are 40 m;108 pieces, 40 m;118 pieces, and 40 m;129 pieces.
