Abstract

In this era, the Indonesian government is aggressively introducing urban agriculture due to environmental and food security problems in Indonesia, especially for urban residents and school students, including elementary school (SD) students. The 2013 curriculum that is used by each school is now also adjusted to the direction of UNESCO, namely Educational Sustainable Development (ESD) for 2030. The learning process is implemented according to the 2013 curriculum, namely active learning methods with scientific / scientific concepts. However, according to Lukman Hakim (2017), the 2013 curriculum still requires appropriate tools to be successful in its application. Therefore, it is necessary to develop media designs or teaching aids about urban agricultural crops to make it easier for elementary students to understand urban agricultural crops. The method used by the author is interviews, observation, trials, and surveys in person and or online. At the end of the research, the resulting product was a planter kit that used a smartphone and a time-lapse application with a fun observation concept. The benefit of this research is that it can be used as a reference for designing similar products and reducing the risk of failure in designing.
