Abstract

Ground Penetrating Radar is a geophysical method developed as an alternative method for shallow subsurface geological research that uses the principle of electromagnetic waves (EM) and has detailed results. The Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) method is used because it has a high resolution and is non-destructive. The GPR principle utilizes the reflection of electromagnetic waves to show differences in the dielectric constant of the layers. This research was conducted using 26 paths that were processed using MAT-GPR software where various processes such as Basic Handling, Filtering and Imaging will be used. Based on the research results, it is known that the results of georadar measurements can indicate the presence of pipes below the surface through the identification of hyperbolic anomalies on each path, but there are some lines that the pipe anomaly cannot be clearly seen. This is because the hyperbolic anomaly is not visible and because it is covered by a concrete barrier above it.
